AnonD-332829, 19 Nov 2014Unfortunately the comment section is filled with apple hate... moreNot really. My wife is on her third iPhone, following every "S" upgrade where the design is corrected by the experience of the numbered iPhones. Also on her third iPad. I could have an iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, iWatch, iWhatever; but the Apple personal electronics don't attract me at all. I'm a geek, I'm used to messing with my devices since the first Nokias. I'm on the Sony Z series, waiting for the Z4 to upgrade them. The first thing I do to all my Android phones is rooting them (or unlocking the bootloader when needed), because I LIKE to spend a few hours every week messing with it. Install a nightly ROM, see what works, report the bugs, then go back to stock; or stay on AOSP if it works well. Actually, I'll probably keep my Z1 to mess with it after I get the Z4, until I can root it and keep the DRM keys.

See? Money isn't the point. The high end Android phones are basically as expensive as the high end iPhones, same for the tablets. It's a matter of preference. Of choice. You prefer the iPhone; good for you. I prefer Android; good for me. Now, what's not good is this imbecile childish "I like this OS and you don't so you suck I'm better than you". Your comment dissing non-Apple users as "poor" is as moronic as a comment dissing Apple users as "stupid", adds nothing to the discussion, and only generates noise. It's way worse than people pointing out problems with the devices, because pointing problems leads to constructive discussion while your comment only leads to off-topic replies like this. Seriously, shame on you. Grow up before you comment again.

AnonD-332829, 19 Nov 2014Unfortunately the comment section is filled with apple hate... moreY'know, that kind of comment doesn't help matters. It just makes Apple users look even worse.

(Ok, this works both ways, as some of the comments make the 'opposing' fans look bad too. Everyone just needs to calm down when talking about tech. Or anything with fans.)

I don't think it looks great and am not an Apple fanboy either, *but* this is the best way to get the iPhone onto your wrist and for this reason alone is probably the most exciting product for 2015. Sorry Tizen lol

Some of the high end Swiss watches are in fact chunky and on purpose. Not saying it's good or bad, but it is there, and going chunky does in fact mean better battery life. I prefer if they prioritise battery life over thinness frankly.

Of course, some other smartwatch makers may take the opposite route, so in the end, we have choice.

Apple need to "get rid of the bezel" and take the screen right to the edge. Sensors etc should be side-mounted on the unit. It should also be "thin" like a coin, not "thick as a brick". Oh well, maybe someone else will do it.

Gibby, 19 Nov 2014How about left handed use? The watch can be flipped for left handed use. However, it does change the placement of the crown winder.

                          here what apple better do:
                          1. Make the watch gender-neutral.
                          2. sell accessories that will make the watch to become a girl-watch, or a man-watch. Make the customers decide by their self.

Measuring on the image, I think the 38mm is a typo.
Everything in the image fits perfect with a 36/42 ratio, and nothing fits a 38/42 ratio

So I believe the left one is 36mm (or the right one even larger than 42mm)

Calculating further that would be a 1.8" and 1.57" displays with just 277ppi
