Saw a local website offering a range of Xiaomi phones on retail while a few on pre order in Pakistan, I guess they have expanded to Pakistan at least.

Those with dual-SIM are only for China Unicom versions that only support very few LTE bands.

Xiaomi, on the other hand, rely mostly on hype, just like Apple.

it is facing stiff competition from likes of Mei Zu and HuaWei, especially HuaWei with a new range of dual sim 4G devices that left the Mi series phone in dust as it lack dual sim capacity.

I will be considering their phones once they stop or cut down on flash sales and start taking pre-orders. One of my friends queued for their phones so many times and everytime, she walked away empty-handed.

Oh well, their loss since she no loner finds it worthwhile to waste precious time on some low budget phone few can obtain. In fact, I suspect they sell far less than advertised so they can boast about "selling everything out".

Xiaomi will be disappointed when they see how many of their hipsters abandon them when someone else makes a better phone for less money. When it comes to budget consumers there is very little brand loyalty, they simply buy whatever is the best value.

Hey chinees smart phon what about your neighbour country and your friend pakistan... They really love chinees phones as it comes to the price... And only a few of them co sider the the spec ... The price always comes the first....so xiaomi has a big chance here but with the sucess of its product...i guess xiaomi is going to higher the price thats not good for there own business... China if you make the original iphone and sell it half of the price still people wont buy coz its maufactured in china

Xiaomi wont succeed anywhere outside China. They succeed in China because they were early starters of that different marketing and profit strategy, and hence they developed a whole fanboyish following in China. But 2015 there are lot of players doing the game and with Mi4 it was clear indication they couldnt anymore hang onto being the most beast powerful phone. They have to cut down on spec to match the price expectations of consumers and they have a lot of competition from One plus, Huawei, Lenova, ZTE, Meizu and so on.

Little use of traditional marketing, cutting off the middleman, no physical stores presences are some of them.

They already do not have enough inventory to keep up with the demand in the market already, so why would they wan to introduce physical store that increases their cost while does nothing to increase its revenue?
