India the land where growth is huge. Give it 5 years and the labour cost will be a bit higher and the entire west will drop India like a bag of rice.
I prefer China's growth. At least they have a government which goes a certain direction.

I rember reading an article saying that average price of smartphone sold is india comes to $150.. So it is likely that the people are buying much more entry level phones than mid / high.. The companies will usually notice this and launch accordingly..

AnonD-295604, 28 Nov 2014All the companies should opt India in the first place to re... moreDepends on the phone model, its hard to distribute in such a big country where the average selling price is so low and the smartphone penetration is at a prehistoric level of only 32%.
There are good reasons why those local brands arent sold elsewhere, very underwhelming and many of their models doesnt even deserve the Smart in smartphone, and much of the rest is pretty much Lumia 520 and low end Samsungs, not exactly the most profitable models.
Mindblowing to imagine that 2013 saw the launch of several Android phones in India running Gingerbread 2.3 and had 256MB RAM. This market is quite different from others, late to the game and with incredible many models that arent sellable anywhere else.

And Micromax just slap their branding over Chinese phones. MMX is just assembly service.
