AnonD-260435, 05 Dec 2014the point was india wont receive the update after the deal ... moreIf that's the case then great for Indian OPO users.

Am not so sure things are that clear or else OPO wouldn't have responded they way they did initially. Like they say 'No smoke without fire'

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2014please see the post, CM is going to provide update for the ... moreThe key word is "global" version, depends on how you acquired it. The talk is of India specific models. It seems like there is a special version of CM11S for India to stop the OTA that global versions will get. If the models were all the same as global versions to begin with then they would be blocking OTA based on IP which is easy to bypass.

Either the first story of India specific models is false or this only applies to non-India specific models. How else would CM have exclusivity in India with Micromax if Oneplus are selling global variants anyway? Oneplus aren't that stupid to claim they don't understand CM's decision themselves.

Think of it like the Color OS version that sells in China, thats not a global variant. It's easy to flash to the global CM11S ROM though.

Why don't ONE PLUS ONE revel... moreThat is because, it is a start up and their fund is mostly from investors rather than from the sale of their phones. So, if they predict the demand incorrectly and produce more phones that what they can sell, they cannot absorb the loss. This might not be a problem for a large company such as Samsung...

[deleted post]Yeah, if you get the India specific version then you are out of luck with CM updates. But I wont be too concerned as Oneplus is making a near stock OS with features that people would like to have from all these custom ROMs.

Cyanogen is still a small company, nothing too hard for Oneplus to easily match. Oneplus has also the advantage of trying to license OPPO's IPs this of course might raise the price of the next Oneplus Two.

The new Oneplus OS will be more like Motorola's releases, very close to stock. There is a good chance Oneplus might bring the Oneplus One's camera new life with proper software because right now Cyanogen's only weakness is the camera app. It definitely can use some Digital image stabilization.

The invite system lacks a lot. Why don't ONE PLUS ONE revel there phones in market, yeah theres a policy issue about this but no doubt if it launches the market, it will obviously bring down all the market in its own hand. Or may be not. All the customer want is that LAUNCH IT IN THE MARKET..........I am sure 70% will get carried up with this phone and moreover this phon will rock the market.

Tone the monitor to more blue to balance the yellow is not a solution. Can you say just don't look at the lower part of the monitor then everything solved immediately?

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2014Cyanogen mod is nothing compared to Sense 6's optimizations... moreLOL Sense UI is better than Cyanogenmod or the other custom ROMs?? That alone makes you not worthy of being taken seriously. You should also go take a look at the camera samples at reviews sites who have spent some time with the device, utter garbage to be even compared with what the Oneplus One can manage despite the fact Oneplus One is nowhere close to be called the better cameraphones in the market. That's just how bad the desire 820 is. It's a mid range device but priced way too high to be considered because those who can buy the Oneplus One will see it's a nobrainer. Cyanogenmod or Custom ROMs by XDA community just makes any OEM ROM out there totally redundant.

Ya know I bought the Oneplus One 64GB Black for 1269 Ringgets on a duty travel to Malaysia. The HTC 820 is selling now for 1099 Ringgets. That's a total fail of a marketing move if they want that much for a mid range phone. Your only argument would be that some cant buy the Oneplus One, I can and am only cared about the possibilities when I can. Oneplus one is hands down the better value for the buck and the battery life on the Oneplus One is pure and simple outstanding it's right up there with any of the top phones of 2013 and 2014 combined. Oneplus has to sort their logistical issues and get rid of the invite system because supply is not one of the reasons it has this is lame invite system going on even now.
