[deleted post]Absolutely nothing wrong with what CM did which is why even the Indian courts honoured the MM agreement.

If anything it was OnePlus' mistake for not getting at least regional exclusivity.

Gee you guys are running out of companies to hate, pretty soon you'll have to abandon android altogether because you hate every company associated with it. I'll add MM and CM to the list, OnePlus was already on it.

I will believe your unbased story when there is evidence for the same.. Which may come out if OnePlus chooses to sue Cyanogen in California..

But I have a feeling the california case will never happen because Cyanogen will "again" try to blackmail OnePlus by saying it will pull support for global devices as well..

Anonymous, 21 Dec 2014But nowhere payment problem has arisen or mentioned. Cyanog... moreContracts do not have to be made public unless a court orders it and/or releases it. You think GSMArena typing a few paragraphs to make a story can cover all the details of a contract which is probably dozens of pages long?

Oh I get it whatever GSMArena includes in their story is correct, and whatever they don't include never happened or doesn't exist, so because GSMArena never mentioned terms, conditions and/or clauses there are no terms, conditions and/or clauses, right? Ok so here is the whole exclusivity contract between OnePlus and Cyanogen:

"We, Cyanogen hereby grant OnePlus exclusivity use (global, except China) of our Cyanogen OS from February 1, 2014 until January 31, 2016"

Yes, what you see above is the whole contract because that's all the details GSMArena wrote in the story. Riiiiiight.

There are ALWAYS terms, conditions and performance/sales clauses when doing an exclusivity deal. YOU really don't have a clue. I have a feeling ALL of you are wrong and OnePlus in fact breached the agreement first by under performing and/or missing a payment.

Cyanogenmod would have definitely placed payment problem (If any)before court. At least till now it is not published. You are presuming that there may be payment problem on part of one plus one. This is not correct.

Gotta love the typical hate comments that follow most news stories here.

You guys don't have a clue what the details were of the OnePlus-Cyanogen agreement. When a company signs over exclusivity to another company there is usually a flat out fee, a fee per piece, or other performance terms such as targets and minimum sales required to continue exclusivity otherwise if the OnePlus failed that would screw Cyanogen from being able to sign with someone else because they would be locked in with OnePlus until early 2016.

I have a feeling it was probably OnePlus that breached the terms of the exclusivity agreement probably by under performing or missing a payment.

I hope OnePlus is able to extract every penny they ever paid to Cyanogen and that it bankrupts them. Horrible behavior.

Micromax came in India when i was in college and since then i knew that its a shit company. I always think the people having micromax are lower middle class or poor. This is the common mind state in India about micromax. So coming to the point after reading all this i requesting people dont use cyanogen or micromax. Both are security threats. You can see the mail that cyanogen CEO used iPad because he knows well that their OS cant give kind of security like iOS. Please use original Android by google or any other certified OEM like LG. Cyanogen is unsecure always and after knowing that they are unprofessional too
I dont want to see a cyanogen powered device in my life. Shame on you

Here Seeing what's right one plus didn't had a exclusive deal, but if cm has an exclusive deal with a company in a particular country, naturally those non exclusive global deals are off the table in that particular country
