09 January, 2015
The phone employs a camera approach and hardware design strikingly similar to the Oppo N1.

I had gotten this phone, it came "unlocked" no correctly, a lot of malware and annoying popups even after factory reset... and it's incorrectly listed specs...

I had the Samsung V200 (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_v200-417.php) 13 years ago and it had a rotating camera. I think Oppo would have a hard time enforcing patents due to prior art.

I loved that phone - was my first one with a colour screen.

Those apparently look same, but rotating camera feature can't be Oppo's only. There's has been lot of those kinds in phone market already.

A Chinese company is considering suing another Chinese company over copying?... SERIOUSLY?!?!?

Trying to patent a rotating camera would be like trying to patent rectangles.
              Its ridiculous.

However if the entire phone is basically a rip off that's different.

'Polaroid' are a joke. The once innovative brand has been exploited and tarnished.

In China, these companies don't value patents and because of that, these companies keep on copying the big players. Oppo, a chinese company, shouldn't have the right to sue any company.

It's not about the rotating camera as idea, but the whole design of the phone is the same...

This whole sue this , sue that is just bad. So because they had a rotating camera phone? No other phone should have one? The first phone manufacturer who put on primary and secundary camera should also sue all other phone manufacturers for copying that.

You can easily see that these two phones are more similar to each other than they are to most other phone. However, the Oppo N1 was released in 2013, while this phone is being showcased at CES 2015.
