Maybe the HTC Hima will get GPE treatment, as well as M8 and M7 before it? I would actually love if a mini version would, but with no GPE love for previous mini version, that would be too much to ask for, I'm afraid...

They run unaltered stock android. For example, Google Play Edition Samsungs will not be running Touchwiz nor will they have any Samsung or carrier bloatware. On a negative note, it also means they wouldn't have Samsungs camera enhancements. So basically, it's the manufacturers hardware running stock Android.

That's sad cuz those GPe devices offered an alternative to Android fans who want stock Android devices but for some reason didn't like the current Nexus phone at the time or the OEM of the device.
I wish now that Google has kicked the old GPe devices to the curb...we might have a beefed up GPe Moto X 2014(with a huge 3500+mAh batt n 20MP cam) or a redesigned GPe Droid Turbo with no capacitive keys n chin.
Even with the monster specs...I doubt the Huge Phablet N6 will sell in huge numbers than if say it was a 5.2"-5.5" screen Nexus device.
