Anonymous, 19 Jan 2015seems that you do not have enough experience using Samsung ... moreDon't mind that when I get a new phone every 2 years anyway on contract. And on contract you pay less than half the full retail cost of the device over the 2 year period. Win win. I haven't encountered anyone that had a battery that only lasts 1 year. I have old Nokias and Blackberries that power up and work perfectly fine after a full charge.

Lovely flop on that, Do go on ple... moreAs i work in the phone industry i get to see what phones are like on a day to day use and the battery life in a sony z3, unless in its super power save mode is pretty poor like most smartphones. And i have seen this on multiple phones that i have come across not just the odd one. So yeh the battery is a flop!!

People are commenting on here saying its going to be the downfall of Samsung.......the phone hasn't even been announced and all this is just rumours!!

Oh no a non-removable battery.......hang on don't the flagship phones made my Apple, Sony, HTC, Nokia all have non-removable batteries??? Tell me if i'm wrong (and why) but this is just full of sad fanboys trolling about a device that is yet to be announced who all believe their favoured device is flawless yet all have big individual flaws

iPhones - restricted usability, awful battery life, build quality questionable, old tech.
Sony - Poor battery, clumpy design, huge bezels, phone overheats easily.
HTC - Poor camera quality in low light, huge bezels.
Nokia - Marketplace lacking apps, unable to truly customise phones.

                      Oh and i don't own a samsung i use a HTC.

AnonD-216585, 19 Jan 2015no more (zero)lemon juice? That's right. No user replaceable battery means no aftermarket battery options. It's not just about swapping batteries on the go like the article suggests.

MaxSmarties, 19 Jan 2015Samsung is in total confusion.... They are keep changing d... morePersonally I think this glass back does not sound too good. The metal design sounded fine, but the plastic back on my S4 feels fine even though it shows its age now with a crack running from the charging area up(my fault as when i get nervous i pick at it). But before I buy this phone, Ill let some youtubers do some reviews and then ill see if ill buy. I think the speculations keep changing the materials, Samsung had to have this design in their head from the start but just have not said a damn thing.

Their battery life is good for only 1 year or 2.
after that, with full charge, the phone functions only for 4,5 hours.
At that point you need to change the battery and buy a new one my friend.
                            There is no way out.
you need the phone to function well, not just use it because of it's so-called fancy design.

For those that argue that it's a fail due to a non-removable battery, look at it this way... More elegant design, better weather sealing, better quality feel in hand. Also, why buy a second battery just to replace it when the first battery goes flat, you have to remove the battery which powers off the device, why don't you just buy a battery bank and extend your usage that much longer without having to kill the device when changing the battery? And it's pure nonsense that the glass cracks due to overheating, that is pure Samsung fanboy hatred of Sony devices. Rock on glass, rock on new product design...
