I am a frontline employee, and having to clarify stuf is not what I like doing in my off time.

But I also perfer if people have the right info.

People up here do want phones for free yes, but as I said in a previous post no all people demand free phones.

I've had people tell me that they would like a free phone but understand why they have to pay for it

You think they get the phones for free? Cmon man. They have to pay for then somehow.

Every business is made to maximize profits, it's a business.

What most people forget while making comparisons with the states is the fact that they're 300+ million people vs 35milliom Canadian. The smallest of the major providers in the states has as many customers than the whole Canadian population.

        1 Verizon Wireless: 115.780 million
        2 AT&T: 106.957 million
        3 Sprint Nextel: 55.306 million
        4 T-Mobile: 33.388 million

Tbose numbers are from q4 2012.

Educate yourself before talking nonsense, it's business not charity.

Maybe Google will provide VoLTE only service because Sprint is CDMA and Tmobile is GSM. Two different technologies for voice.

I can say you're right in certain aspects, yet we have a lot of customers who are willing to pay the prices.

The Canadian consumer had TWO MAIN concerns the CRTC was supposed to address.

                        They addressed one of them.

                        The two year contracts.

The one issue they did not address was the cost of our plans.

We pay min on a smartphone plan 80 dollars (Prem smartphone T1 provider), 230 max for 30 GB of data (Prem smartphone T1 provdier).

The US and most countries are paying around 30 to 70 bucks CDN for a standard plan without addons. The 80 dollar plans are without any addons and just 500mb of data.

So please, when you speak of the Canadian market, do some research before you speak.
