Even I was one of those who suggested that Samsung might be favoring their own child, the Exynos.

    And here it is.

Samsung might make a great processor, but as long as it sells different devices in 1st world and 3rd world countries, WITH THE SAME NAME, till then Samsung will remain a legally cheating rubbish company.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2015Compared to the S4 it did fail.. If you go further back and compare it with S3 sales, it was utter flop.

Maybe if they got better processors than the competition their touchwiz lag wont be so noticable, it wont take 5 seconds to unlock their flagship, and another 5 to open the dialer maybe.

but yes, Exynos 7420 has the advantage with 14nm over 20nm. Qualcomm will hopefully do a good job with their Taipan-cores for 815/820 and future SoCs and retake the lead.

                    Exynos 7240 :

                    Geekbench single core- 1500
                    Geekbench multi core - 5500

                    Snapdragon 810:
                    Geekbench single core - 1200
                    Geekbench multi core - 3500

Theres no way a 20nm Snapdragon can compete because Exynos is a 14nm finFET chip, and uses the same CPU architecture

"It allows for a significantly higher clock rate of 2.1 GHz over the 1.6GHz of the Costex A57 cores in the 20nm Snapdragon 810." Who managed to write this nonsense? Snapdragon has a 2.0GHz frequency on its CORTEX-A57 cores.

Listen, everyone..the new Exynos scored a freaking 5500 in Geekbench 3.

That means it has as much raw power as the latest Intel BROADWELL Y LAPTOP CHIPS, matching phones with newest laptops fornthe first time ever!!

SNAPDRAGON IS SIMPLY INFERIOR, and it makes no sense for Samsung to use inferior process in its flagship.
These are facts and common sense.. No need for theories

Exurbia version will lead to better update procedure and they are pretty good on s4 so it doesn't seems to be a problem

Samsung are doing the Correct Decision using there own Chips, instead of relying on someone elses,Samsung can produce top Class Chips as Supplying them for Apple just shows that, plus there building there own factory soon to produce there Future Chips

Things will only get worse for Samsung, the S6 will fail worse than the S5 and then it will just go rapidly downhill from there.

But does Samsungs 14nm facility in Austin, TX have capacity for making CPUs both for Apple and itself?
