Sony have to look forward for staying in smartphone field.They have have to change there concept about premium smartphones,they also concentrate on dual sim variant,give ample of Ram for fast performance even in low cast or entry level phones ,and also in mid range phones andvaraity of combination of cameras both rear and front,procecers,Rom is neded bring atraction if the customers.we love sony for there quality product but they have to give much importannce for customer multiple needs.

Well, I absolutely hope that we will see the Z4 at the MWC! !!? And with all the latest and best technology around! Like the Snapdragon 810, the 4GB RAM, a QHD Display (hopefully with a very thin bezels) etc. And so we will have a really excellent beginning of 2015! (except the LG G Flax2 & the Xiaomi) so come on Sony, do it! !!!!

Honestly, to me, there will be a positive and negative effect on delaying the Z4. The not so good part is that Sony will be late, meaning Samsung and other OEMs will have early markets once their flagship devices get announced. The earlier the unveiling, the higher the chance a device will be available sooner and it might also end up getting more sales especially if the features and performance will be identical to that of the Z4. On the other hand, those who bought the Z3 won't get frustrated since the reign of the current flagship will last much longer. Also, the Snapdragon 810 is not that reliable yet as it is being reported to have issues like heating for example.

Maybe sony will show off z3 new color and midrange device. The flagship ( z4 ) remain silent for a while since sony already planning releasing per-year flagship this time. To maintain a year cycle sony need to come out with a better spec. For me z3 still provide enough spec till now.

Yes I like the specs of the Z4..it would be nice to compare the flagships of HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony and also Huawei. So I wish LG and Sony will release their flagships early..like between March and May so we can compare all 4 or 5 devices to decide which one to get.
Key deciding factors... Battery size 3500+mAh, 64GB storage capacity option plus SD card expansion, 5.2-5.5" screen with minimal bezels w/a screen to bezel ratio of 80+%, good camera 16+MP, QSD810 chipset, 3GB-4GB RAM etc.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2015Z3 and Z3 Compact should never have been released, Sony has... moreZ3 compact poor? It is one of the few machines capable of playing a 4K video at full tilt. The screen is excellent and the device is very pocketable. Compared to Z1 Compact: Screen bigger in same footprint, lighter, slimmer, battery life much better - an excellent device in my view apart from the fact the charging port shares it's opening with the Micro SD slot. The SD and SIM card should be in their own slot (you rarely change these) leaving a much smaller charging port. Other than that, superb and better overall than the Z1 Compact.
