TD network is widely use in china which china mobile claimed to have the largest subscribers globally. Currently the phone only launch with TD network support, and had nothing mentioned in meizu site of supporting FDD network. There no telling if there a FDD version release in the future or not, but as for now, the phone is totally useless outside china without data support.

I has expected that Meizu follow apple professionals and Make a 4.7" or Even 4.5" with 2GB of ram and a MT6752 Chip! But is good enough!

There are many emerging markets with over 50 million+ people in them such as Nigeria, Vietnam, Thailand, and many others with 100 million+ people such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Brazil.
And even 1.3 billion powerhouse India.
All these are potential customers for Meizu and Xiaomi, you just need to see the portential for budget phones in these emerging markets.

Budget friendly or what also wont have much impact out of china, since the phone currently only available in TD network version only, unlike meizu note which specified there TD and FDD version.

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2015Notice how the good/cheap phones are never made for EU or US.Why you need this smartphone? I agree smartphones like this are bang for the buck. But eu/us can get a $700 smartphone for just $100 with contract. So they don't need it. I hope contract system soon come to my country so that I can buy smartphones like Nexus 6 and iphone 6 at little as $100. 👍

You still complaining? Last but not least, it's miles (reads: as long as the Great Wall) prettier.
