the Apple Watch can be easily set up to wear on the other wrist, as long as you don’t mind the digital crown being on the bottom.

Hmmm many magazines and Tech sites are not agree with you, in fact in Japan, China and many other places Apple is beating Android....
And keep in mind Apple is fighting against 1000s of Android models and manufacturers with only the iPhone 6/6+ when Samsung, LG, Motorola, Alcatel, Huawei and so on stills launching new models around the world.....so, Im really amazed how a single brand can fight against many many many others and not even they still on market, they still selling their phones very well...so there's iPhone for a while...
