One plus one is really the only valid phone cyanogen have contributed to. Oppo maybe but that's it. They need to focus on phones that matter.

Cyanogen is not a genuine OS. It is just a mod that a group of hackers make some mere modifications on Android

It is actually not the same company. Alcatel produced phones till may be 2003 -4 and it was a french company. Now this is the same brand, but the company is chinese. They have nice idea - they sell midrange phones at a slightly lower price than the competition. I actually have one touch Idol. It is not the best, but good for the money.

kmb877, 02 Mar 2015Let me disagree, Alcatel have sold at least 20... 25 models... moreExcept that this won't be a hundred instead $299 and you gotta be certifiable if you really think that this is a good bargain for a MT6592 kit. This was planned way too early they should have went w/ MT6732/52 instead.

Let's face-it, where you can buy a smartphone with 4-core, GPS, SDcard, Gorilla glass, 4G, Android 4.4.4, reasonable auto-focus camera, all with under $100!?
BTW, "Pixi" is a trade mark invented by Alcatel.
However, do not make any confusion between Alcatel (France), Alcatel-Lucent and the cellphone manufacturer (the Honk-Kong TCL Communications).

Alcatel are not a very popular company. They should focus on something else instead.
