Per month with a £49 up front charge. I am unsure if this is just ridiculous pricing from Three or if Samsung have insisted that their prices are through the roof.
This handset, and the subsequent models, will ensure contract pricing in the UK is driven up. The mobile phone industry will stagnate due to lack of purchasing, as people will stick to their old handsets.
I use a Galaxy S5, and unless something changes, and soon, I will be keeping it for a long time. "Premium feel and cost" mobile phones are not what consumers want or need.

Working in a mobile phone store in the UK, and having used both varieties of this device, I will give my opinion based on fact, not conjecture, like most of you.

Both varieties of this phone are truly dreadful, no amount of "premium quality build" will take away from this.
They feel fragile due to the glass on the front and the back, and the thickness. Thus will inevitably lead to many insurance claims, or repairs through Samsung (costing a fortune, no doubt.)
Three UK offer the S6 Edge starting at £49

Perhaps you should do more school work & improve your grades and English, rather than ponce about on internet fora.

As for the Galaxy S6, it may have the best screen, it may have a wonderful camera, but as I have previously stated they are nothing without a powerful, long life battery to drive it in the first place. Without one, all of the features it has are useless as the battery will drain so fast that it will die when you most need to use it.

So with a non user-upgradable battery and a battery life that is worse than the S5, it will not sell as well. And who wants to carry a portable battery pack with them to ensure that their phone stays charged. No thanks.

Anonymous, 21 Mar 2015It's even cheaper at tesco mobile. £36 pm no up front... moretesco make profit because they buy in bulk - plus its locked to their network, and as they are a mvno, they rent signal space from O2, and the added bonus for them, is that the majority of their shops are actually in their Supermarkets so they dont have to pay high street rates.

So ultimately, what they don't pay for in highstreet rental rates, heating, and other such hodge podge, they put into their price plans. BUT, because its an MVNO, if the host network needs more airspace, then the MVNO can suffer signal loss

It's even cheaper at tesco mobile. £36 pm no up front cost. Not sure how they make profit, since if say it £10pm for tariff , over 24 month contract that just leaves £624.

Really hope the 64gb model isn't rumoured £700 and comes out soon.

Would go htc but lack of proper reviews especially about the camera is a concern. Especially considering number of in depth s6 reviews out there.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2015People, these are just phones. Just bloody phones!! It does... morePeople are paying for what???? Please understand the truth before judging or stopping others to buy....

What does smartphone does? It saves lot of money which you would have bought as a separate device.

                  1. Camera - Now a days smartphones has the top of line cameras. So, people stopped buying Point and Shoot cameras and prefer mobiles because it is more handy. You can atleast saved $200 on camera.
                  2. Internet - You need not have to carry the heavy laptop all the time and also no separate laptop is required for home and office purpose. So here you saved minimum $300
                  3. eBook Reader - You don't want separate device or tablet to read books. Infact the sale of tablets are reduced because the smartphones are doing all the work which they do and easy to carry also. So here you saved minimum $150 to $200 for basic tablet or eBook reader.
                  4. Music/Video Player - You don't have to carry separate device for listening music or watching videos. Saving around $100 minimum.
                  5. etc. etc. etc. The count goes on

So, actually smart people are saving more and that's why this is called as smartphone. Maybe you are not smart or maybe still in stone-age where you use mobile for calling only.

If you say regarding price, then you have to pay for the quality product, service and experience. Different people have different choices, so there is phones with every budget and as per needs.

Lol So I guess the iPhone has got some serious competition now there. But then again, at 48.5 per month, that also means that the 16 GB iPhone 6 has the exact same price as the 64 GB S6 EDGE! Since "the 64GB and

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2015Who wants a M9? It's rubbish. That's why it's cheap. The M9 is not exactly cheap at £579 but is better value for money depending on what you are looking for. Personally, I think I will wait for the G4 or Z4. Whilst the G4 may not be as premium in terms of build, this only replicates the approach to the Xperia series, metal frame with glass on the front and back. Not ruling anything out nor ruling anything in but will get the best for my money and value for money!

Stop talking nonsense, that price for the S6 is ludicrous, Samsung are trying to be Apple again. Thing is though IOS device hold value well, Android devices don't. The Note 4 went on the market for around £600 (sim free) you can get them in excellent condition off eBay now for around £380-£400, and they normally include cases and sd cards in the deal, it'll be exactly the same story with the S6.
