I currently have 2 contracts with O2 and I will stop them at any cost if this to go ahead. Previously, I had contract with 3 UK and that was worst 2 years in my life, terrible service quality and terrible customer service.

The remaining options are either Vodafone or EE. I tried using EE few years ago and it proven to be even worse than 3 UK, not entirely because of customer service, but rather because it is split in 2, whenever you try contact them you have to go through 20 transfers between Orange and t-mobile customer service ... and if anything goes wrong then they blame each other.

So only possible solution left is to switch to Vodafone.

              P.S.
It is very sad because o2 had the best Customer service and I was very happy to use their service for last 5 years..

              ex-O2 user.

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2015If only Hutchison would dump its Australian partner Vodafon... moreThat sounds like a bitter ex three mobile employee posting above. Talk about ranting with next to no actual facts. :)

For starters, people do miss the old vodafone. The one that used to make profits, be a sizable player in the business/corp/gov market, challenging the big boys telstra and optus, innovating the market etc. Three mobile was popular with teenagers, and was trying to expand out of that market but did a lot of silly things like charging additional for their limited domestic roaming on telstra, terrible offshore support etc... they were a low end market player, albeit riding off the coat tails of a multi-colour logo and the funky brand recognition from the initial 3G launch. A cool player to be sure, well marketed, but going down a path fraught with danger as has been the case with MVNO's. To think they would not of ran into big problems had the merger not occurred is pure comedy.

As for VHA becoming a complete shambles after the merger... you do realise the CEO and most of the management from merger was from the Three/HWP side of the merger, right? They ran it, they messed it up, and eventually vodafone group had to step in and try and ressurect something already 9ft underground. If we are to point fingers, a very sizable portion of the responsibility for the failure is the Three (which became majority in VHA) management team.

If only Hutchison would dump its Australian partner Vodafone which has decimated what ever good will Three Mobile built up.

Vodafone Australia is the worst of the worst here in Australia, even with all the spectrum that came from Hutchison Telecoms when they merged in late 2009 could not save the toilet crap that is Vodafone Australia.

We all miss Three Mobile here and it will be a very good day here in Australia once Vodafone is dead and buried and never seen or heard from again.

This means that o2 will finally be a useful network provider. I don't know why people here in UK keep letting to deceive this provider. On any contact they have least minutes, least text messages and mostly you get is 1-2 gigs of internet. Three is the best in the UK and gives you everything more than enough.

I'm a call center rep from one U.S. Telco company and UNL plans are not good IMO. Our service updated the plans and used UNL plans for $55 and $69.95, but the data is not working properly. Bunch of irate customers are calling starting that update from our Carriers -_-

Who knows if this shall be good?? the only concern I have is the transition between the merging, not only for signal and tariffs but also the admin side behind it i.e. signal masts branding.

yes this also means there is a slight monopoly for network providers although they don't own lets say an all in one mobile network, the home phone network and tv / internet service like some American networks do.
