And ALL brands of smartwatches are only at this early stage, see e.g. my comments in the editorial

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2015Are you familiar with this and other smartwatches? I think ... moreI'm an atheist and never understood the majority of peoples urge for religion.
But I won't try to persuade others to neither change nor abandon their religion.
That goes no matter how absurd I personally find the sect a person have joined.

Looks like the hype is getting bigger and bigger, hope Apple watch meets expectations! Will people form queues to buy this as well? I would be really surprised if we can see queues for this device! But like all of its earlier ones, I will wait for its 3rd or 4th generation to come with camera, comprehensive health kit, better battery life and improved UI.

I think not, this is so superior that even Sony Smartwatch 2 at below $70 (thats the price here now) seems seriously overpriced. Apple Watch is maybe Apples most impressive product yet for the unbiased eye.

" This is a little confusing and will surely lead to even bigger camping lines in front of store, than at usual Apple device launches and ordering your device online with free delivery really seems like the smarter way to go, at least on paper.

There will be people who will queue overnight

The benefits of this free advertising outweighs those wo will spend $100s to buy an 18Hr duration(part time) watch

After watching some of Apples HowTo videos of tje Watch my last doubt is gone, i will get the cheapest 42mm model when things calm down. I have tried various smartwatches in stores and wow how bad they are, Apple Watch is the only smartwatch done right so far, its the beginning of a new gadget category.

These things are going to sell themselves, Apple nailed the price, high profit but the demand will be enormous.

" Apple is expecting a huge amount of interest, especially for the first wave of devices, and consequently, they won't be sold to walk-in customers at all, at least until things calm down."

...Or the direct opposite: The lack of queues would be an embarrassment...
