Still it was less catastrophic than now under the MS brand.
MS aimed for 20% of the phone market for WP 2015, back in 2011.
They still might :) it almost eight months left of 2015 :)
Today they got about 2,5%, loosing market shares from just over 3% before they killed of Nokia altogether.

Yeah. 220 GBP is equivalent to 320 USD. That's a pretty high price compared to what is offered in Germany and India. About $100 more. Kind of crazy if you ask me seeing as the Lumia 830 and 930 are only 50-100 dollars more.

impressive pricing considering it also includes 1 years subscription for MS office 365 for 1 computer as well.

by all these specification another companies give below 10,000 rupees, price wise it is very high

at price point not a head turner. they should have kept 640 under 10k and 640xl under 13k. then it surely would have been a head turner. and in this market you have to have competitive pricing other-wise you won't make any difference. i myself was thinking to buy this phone, but now with this price range i have other well established brands too choose from and surely go for them. when you are nowhere you have to come on ground & do ground work, otherwise you don't stand a chance!

this phone is much better than lumia 535.
it has no touch issues but the price is not appropriate.
it should be under 10k

Title of this post is wrong. It's Microsoft Lumia 640. Model Nokia Lumia 640 doesn't exist.

Chips are number either snapdragon 400 or 410 or 800 or 810 so far no lag when runing daily applicaton and play large. Games. Wake up people stop chasing number. If you want number, look to andriod they still lag inspite of runing on the best chips.

Expecting snapdragon 425 for entry level and 620 for midranger with lpddr3@933mhz 1ram.

The 640 LTE is somewhat interesting, for testing device, but the display is too big for 720p and the processors are very weak for midrange. Also, WP loves RAM so you can bet your B's that 1GB is gonna cause a restricted feature set in WP 10. I think it's a very god idea to go for better chipset and 2GB in WP now but let's see if it's worth the sacrifice when 640 has its first price drop, never takes long with Lumias.
