"Exynos uses an external modem though, which is pricier than having it integrated into the chipset like Snapdragon designs."

So - why is Samsung/ARM not designing the Exynos with integrated modem - like Snapdragon?

To be sincere, it doesn't matter the name, it matters if it's GOOD and doesn't HEAT UP like an oven! With all the new devices being glued and all, having a HOT phone will actually make it fall apart.

Despite Soc had improved over the years for the process and the performance also moving to the range said to be on par with desktop performance for graphics. I don't expect heating issue can be taken out on running gaming applications because as the hardware hit desktop category, same goes to the software sector which will join in by making more graphics intense gaming for better enjoyment. I think at most if the design is wise such heat can be reduce greatly from circuit design and the materials used for housing the unit.
