hey everyone!
MOTOROLA released update for MOTO G1 (XT1033), lollipop 5.1, it is of 208 MB. I have installed this update. works fine and smooth. battery draining problem is solved to maximum extent. memory issue is definitely solved.
after update my system verison is: 221.21.56.falcon_utms.AsiaRetail.en.03

Oh cmo'n moto tell us some thing new, itz been more then 5 long months waiting for the lolipop, you guys keeps us on hold for no reason just lies after lies and fake news...its really pissing me off now, m not being sarcastic but m sick of being waiting..

Moto cheated us all by saying it will give updates first. Almost all other companies gave update to lollipop except moto. What a shame?

Reitu, 21 Apr 2015it is abaut time,motorola has being gone for too long.5.1 l... moreTechnically speaking the s4 processor has nothing to do with. It powers the nexus 4 and they have lollipop 5.1 like most other nexus devices. The problem is that it is a custom s4 chip that uses only two cores out of the four for processing. The other two are custom design to control voice and contexual features. Motorola had to rework the firmware to work with it.

I use a moto X XT1058, 1st gen and I haven't gotten any 5.0 update. My Moto also experiences no service issues, the service fluctuates, I'm hoping 5.1 will resolve this issue. I still love my moto X

According to Sony, Xperia SP wasn't even able to handle KitKat. Similarly spec'd Moto X (the same SoC) is awaiting 5.1 Lollipop.

To everyone asking where is the update it say that it being tested not released.....it a soak test.....
