I can't find myself buying a budget/mid-range phone that doesn't have compass. Is the magnetometer sensor really that expensive? I thought it should be basic must-have for all smartphones like proximity and accelerometer.

you want 4k in phone since they will have 4k recording, it would be nice to have the screen to view those properly.
also many people in shops push features like that, they say thing s like "this phone is 1080p, but this one has 4k which is 4x better".. so people who don't understand go for 4k not knowing that that dont really need it.

Wrong or correct, good or bad Microsoft has to gain market first of all. so they're making good budget phones only. So they won't loose the market. If they fail doing the flagships then they can't get up.. just for the time being they have stopped launching flagships into market. Hope once the windows 10 gets ready they'll make low, low-mid, mid, mid-high, high end mobiles..

Windows phone has improved time by time.. Satisfied and excited to buy new flagship Lumias.

Will be a huge mistake if nokia choose Android and compete against Samsung LG Sony and the new emerging asian phones like Elephone, Xiaomi, ZTE, Huawei, Oppo, Coolpad, etc, etc.

Nokia needs improve not been another phone from 18000 around using android OS...

Yes and the rumors says Nokia planning to a come-back as a phone maker.
As Microsoft's ban on Nokia to make phones will be lifted by 2016.

Someone should hint the Finns that a phone withNokia hardware and Microsoft Win10 as OS.

Must be a winner... Obviously it was Nokias dabbling with Android that no one wants that killed the former phone giant. Not the popular Windows phone OS from Microsoft...

Maybe Elop is available to lead a such coopertion between Nokia and Microsoft.

Its sad what Elop did with Nokia. If they choose Android and MeeGo they will be probably 2nd or 3rd world phone producer. Windows Phone was worst OS in those years, even today is little better.

Microsoft is following a good path, why you want sell 1 flagship when you can sell 10 mids or 20 low budget ones, people specially from emerging markets iare not interested on Premium ones and those are that make numbers in sales, that is the problem of Samsung, they didn't sold as many S6 as they want since not too much people has the money to get those premium phones....is the same move of Nokia, the King of budget-mid class phones...

Why would a telephone device need 4K screen? Even with bigger screens that is just useless. What I want is a telehone with good features and BIG battery, very optimized. I hate charging my phone twice a day.

I am expecting a few flagships with wp10 launch, or very soon after.. upgraded versions 930, 1020 and 1520.
all with better screens (hopefully 4k) and more powerful processors (octa core with any luck, even though they don't really need them, and fast charging.

add in their other rumoured tech and these will be epic.

They are waiting for Windows 10 for the flagships to have features that Windows Phone 8.1 can't do right now.

Without w10, flagship will be Flop. They are doing good work with filled the market with low-end, midend phones
