The question is, was it really an LG official being quoted? Given their history, it as much could have been a Samsung rep trolling both the news site and LG. When looking at launch prices of the past G-devices, going all the way back to Optimus G, there is really little reason to belief LG is going to really use the ~825 dollar pricetag for this device. But you never know.

That's insane! They cannot be serious, lower end SoC, smaller brand recognition, probably no amazing features that will put it over the S6. Not to mention plenty of people have already committed to Samsung's offerings already. LG really doesn't want to sell this phone.

what made the G3 be that successful is the low price. I really hope LG will stick with that and this will be a false report.
