    How this is bad why huge penalty by China.world best company Qualcomm company. Very bed decision from China.I am very unhappy & sad personally. I love Qualcomm. My sympathy.. To Qualcomm company. Lots of love to Qualcomm &my heartily best wishes to Qualcomm company

      The trend appears to be for the smartphone manufacturers to do their own chips rather than use Qualcomm. Examples are Samsung/Exynos, Apple/Apple, Huawei/HiSilicon, Lenovo/Mediatek whereas LG and Xiaomi still use Qualcomm. But China is if nothing else about amibitions so Xiaomi can be expected to follow suit. To stay relevant Qualcomm will have to keep designing better and/or cheaper than everyone else incl. ARM itself and how is that possible? The good times can come to an end very abruptly. Nokia learned the hard way.

                  Looks like the americans are trying to make nice after forcing high royalties on local OEMs and losing customers to mediatek and exynos.
