I'm currently using a Xiaomi Mi3 right now and sometimes it loses wifi connection, sometimes the menu and/or back buttons stop working. So if you're looking for a fast processor without breaking the bank, china phones (especially Xiaomi) are for you. If you're looking for the best, better go with LG or Samsung instead.

AnonD-348333, 20 May 2015Qualcomm is fully responsible for this years lackluster fla... moreNot the easiest solution for most other phone OEMs. I'll have you know that Samsung invested in their Exynos program full time probably just right after Hummingbird = Exynos 3110 = Exynos 3 single and this was in 2010 a good FIVE years ago. That's A LOT OF headway by tech standards. Combined with their gained expertise over those same years fabbing SoCs for Apple included, Exynos 7420 are both a much deserved advantage + sheer luck of timing on top of their own 14nm node process for them to be able to avoid Snapdragon 810. But obviously it's more than just luck when you've spent hundreds of millions for R&D. To put it short; to get anywhere near close to Samsung right now for most Android device OEMs is to tell them to actually DOUBLE what Samsung has spent in half the time aka an almost impossible feat unless if any have the same scale for it.
By rank of xp it's still is only qcom followed by MediaTek and maybe Intel if they still have a trump card or 2 under their sleeve. Even Huawei if they manage to score further success this year for them to pour more money into their Kirin SoC line. LG can't seem to get their NUCLUN sh*t right and the rest simply can't afford to do their own SoC program.
I'm betting by last quarter this year the race for higher res insanity will stop to be replaced by better power efficiency. When this happens, it's the Chinese -> MediaTek, Kirin and Leadcore that'll be qcom's worst nightmare. Exynos? Not so much because that's technically reserved strictly for the S and Note line. The rest in the lineup will still be sourcing external SoC makers because it's a smarter play for Samsung to keep their fab lines for other OEMs.

Qualcomm is fully responsible for this years lackluster flagship phones with the disappointing S810.Like Samsung,it's better for other manufacturers to look elsewhere or in-house.

am not implying that the r7 is "overpriced" but why would you buy these when there's the alcatel idol 3(lightweight) and asus zenphone 2 with 4gb ram

Only Apple HTC and Oppo create such ... moreso you want a phone with no bezels at all so no front speaker no front camera all the bulk on the back (not for a bigger battery just the things you would have on the front and no buttons on the bottom of the phone)

Silly Oppo, I was so much excited for these 2 devices and what they hace to offer is a big pile of disappointment. I mean seriously, just look at their arrogance, they say ram less than 3 gb is limiting now a days and then give us internal memory of 16 gb only? And what about giving at least a fair battery? You stupid arrogant fools. I really wish they fail even worse than Jolla and Amazon Firefone. literally want to punch them in their face

Holy mother of bezels. Only Apple HTC and Oppo create such huge bezels. I guess they have the crowd with the lowest standards (you basically *have to* have low standrads to buy such unimpressive phones for the price that those 3 are asking).
