Umbilical Noose, 25 May 2015No downtime? Don't you sleep or anything? No! I sleep only 3 hours, I want my phone functioning 24/7. Those western brands are rubbish, the phone dies after 6 hours of screen time and then I have to charge for at least 2 hours. With this new system, no downtime babeh! It's like the paradise of phone users!

Anonymous, 26 May 2015good battery life = good battery quality, good power manage... moreAny phone with 5000+ mah will last enough, while every phone with little battry, no matter how "optimized" it is, won't last a day. Like iPhone. Good optimization, but half day battery life. No optimization can compensate on the little battery as radio module drains a lot and can't be "optimized". Displays with high ppi too

good battery life = good battery quality, good power management, good hardware to support. I am not sure about Gionee quality, if it is LG G4 with 6000mah, then everyone should celebrate.

Got a 7800 mah battery for a S4 here, never looked back. Common if third parties can do this, why can't smartphone companies produces dedicated phones with big batteries. If there wasn't a demande, there wouldn't be extended batteries on sale from third parties. I don't care if it makes the phone fat, I couldn't care less about looks, functionality is what I want.

They (all the manufacturers except Huawei & Lenovo) improve every single thing except the battery.

1st priority to me is battery life. If battery no good the phone cannot fully function. Currently have the s6. Battery isn't the best thing on the market.s6 should have at least 3700mah

Here's hoping that this becomes a thing. Neither of these batteries will have to be of great capacity either. Simpky the factnthat you can have the one charging while your phone's still functioning means you'd *never* run out of battery.

I mean think of this scenario. Your 2000 Mah battery is depleted, ooops , no worries, a backup 1000 mah battery takes on while you take out your main battery and charge it. No downtime there. Once your main battery is charged (using fast charging it would be about an hour or sth), boom you're back to 100% battery, it also charges the backup battery so that it will never be depleted (the backup one).

So -literally- no downtime = infinite battery. Man those chinese brands are really innovative, after creating the zero bezel technology, now they invent "infinite" battery and in the future (who knows?) true palm rejection (no accidental touches) so to completely eliminate the bezels.

Haha "Western" companies are like dinosaurs these days. Slow moving and ancient looking, yay china!

I have no bad words if manufactures want to fix battery issue. I would buy every single phone if they promise 4-5 days life.
