LG G3 may skip Android 5.1, jump straight to Android M

15 June, 2015
The not so wonderful news comes from the Korean company's Greek arm, which disclosed the plans.

What the twitter rep really said is that LG Hellas (LG's greek office) doesn't yet have any information related to a 5.1 update for LG G3.

Well... I have read this twitter comment by Lg hellas. And since Greek is my native language i can only say that in the translation can be lost a lot! The comment states, and i quote: "there is at this time no information on this particular update. Stay tuned for more news."
Greek is a difficult language. Trying to translate it the easy way doesn't work.
The comment doesn't annaunce in ANY way that there will be no update. It simply states that LG in Greece does not have any information about this update.
                And that is all. 😄

Rubbish.i hate late update from lg.currently using lg G3 d855.
I am planning to shift to iPhone for good.
At least the update comes for all the models together.
But for android it's simply different one carrier gets first the other gets one year later.
                  So thank you Android :\

"Now that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have become the first devices with software updates not directly handled by Google to get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop" that's a weird nickname for LG G Flex 2.

I am Greek and I also asked LG Hellas on their Facebook account about the update of the G3 to latest version of Android. They answered me they don't know yet, and that they will post on their page, when the update becomes available.

I have mailed to LG UK a few weeks ago and they said that it's in testing progress. This is strange...

No mention of Sony who are offering the best software updates for their old devices from nearly 3 years ago, Samsung and LG are hopeless

Lg is shit like usual with updates. Just remember that last time they skipped android 4.2 and 4.3 and they went from 4.1 straight to kitkat. When i saw the g3 updated to lollipop i was amazed. But than again, if i see android M fast like i saw Lollipop i will be happy. Even though i will curse Lg for the rest of the summer.
