received 5.1 upgrade on moto g 4G last week, have suffered from intermittent service ever since. Three full days of no service.

Don't know if it's the upgrade or the network but can't help making a connection, or not as the case may be!

AnonD-407718, 18 Jun 2015Then just flash a custom Rom. I always wait to hear about ... moremotorola is having hard times with updates ,surely because it is not a ggogle company any more and it is not getting support as it used to get,now many people say that the moto software is near to stock that is right but dont forget that even the purest android found on nexus is plagged of bugs too, meaning that not even google knows how to fix them, atleast it is not the perfect one but 4.4.4 was good in speed and performance and battery, this project volta ddint work, and power saving sucks it is not helping, maybe doze wich was tested may work if we dont find issues ofcurse,i think that google will launch android m not like an incremental upgrade insted is mostly a bug fix upgrade with additional features...back to ice cream sandwich days and jelly bean almost tyhe same interface as savior.what do u think guys..am i ricght

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2015not really, just check the feedback from the motoG 1st GEN ... moreThen just flash a custom Rom. I always wait to hear about bugs and if root is possible before updating because it's hard to downgrade if bootloader also gets updated

Ho Hum, have a Nexus 7 that I upgraded from 4.4.4 to 5.1 two months ago. Don't feel it was earth shaking. Everything still works!! My Moto x 2013 still on 4.4.4 and works just fine, whats the big hubbub!! What you people should be concerned with is the quality of the Motorola reciever. Motorola always makes the best radio in the Biz and thats what counts if you live in a fringe area.

This update already release in Brazil for Moto X 2nd gen. It has draining my battery so fast compare to Lollipop 5.0. The tethering issue didn't get fixed in this version. :(

Just got the update on my Moto X (2014).
So far so good, meaning that I haven't experienced any issues throughout the day (while using it as I always do).
