Dear Qualcomm, give us 6ghz 8-core, we need a portable oven.

MNI, 27 Jun 2015Guys! Why are you fans of GHz?, do not think that increased... moreI have a Z1 Compact for over a year and a half. No factory reset, no anything. Just rooted. I've had an iP5s and I'll take the Z1C anytime over an iPhone. Android has way more customisation, features and battery life and no on the S800 nothing lags. I love making my phone unique not just by changing the wallpaper on an app drawer OS... But that's just me, you guys might not want that.

Rock, 28 Jun 2015youre right apple really has great architecture, but let us... moreNo, GPU consumes 2.7W and the whole SoC is 5W. The extra power is used by display mostly. Apple hit the absolute sweetspot with their CPU and the L3 cache is great too, because less asking files from RAM is needed, hence lower power consumption. Not sure how much more performance they can get from it without raising clock speed but right now it's the best architecture for mobile.

Lol, 28 Jun 2015Apple A8X is as fast as Exynos 7420 with three 1.5 GHz core... moreYou probably live in a cave the last few months.

Samsung Galaxy S6 was announced "World Fastest Smartphone" by Tom's Guide.

iPhone 6 with much much slower placed no.5 wifi speed and other benchmarks didn't come close which can't do even the simple video editing, format convertion and there's no 3rd party video editing app to support, was placed no.3 after LG G4. The thing that iPhone 6 come top on par with Galaxy S6 was it very battery power hungry gaming only.

Lol, 28 Jun 2015Apple A8X is as fast as Exynos 7420 with three 1.5 GHz core... moreyoure right apple really has great architecture, but let us not stretch out the facts a8x consumes roughly 7.9 to 11.1w at full load, but heck even that actually dont matter as it is a beast. not an apple fan myself but they sure are dominating. specially fewer but more potent cores is what i still think the better design. just my opinion

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2015Everyone should ignore both of you. Android-OS is the next ... moreApple A8X is as fast as Exynos 7420 with three 1.5 GHz cores compared to 8 cores. Apple is the king of designing SOCs. SD810 consumes 10 watts (!!!) at full load and still gets beat by a max 5W A8X.

MNI, 27 Jun 2015Guys! Why are you fans of GHz?, do not think that increased... moreI Partially agree with you, do not forget that apple is upgrading it processor too. regarding the phones you mentioned, in my mind, S5 and G2 are pretty good phones. I think that most handset makers (OEM)are doing hard efforts to continuously improve their phone, the last word will be to customers!!!

MNI, 27 Jun 2015Guys! Why are you fans of GHz?, do not think that increased... moreIf CPU GHz speed is not matter, then can you please explain why Apple keep upgrade it CPU speed? Apple might as well stick with your iphone 4s speed as you've suggested. Maybe you should kill yourself before making your next trolling explaination.

lol, 27 Jun 2015Ignore those dumb people, termins like performance per cloc... moreEveryone should ignore both of you. Android-OS is the next closer to work like a multitasking Windows-OS that can do lots of things, so CPU speed is important.

Well the close system and limited ability of iOS never come close. So it can use much lower CPU cores and speed for only touch and system functionality part to save battery power with it low speed, but then switching to use much battery power hunger higher GPU cores and speed for gaming.

I still believe the SD801 and the SD805 are the solid performing chips for Mobile Computing world, its just that the OS needs to be perfect for getting perfect processing results. Work on tuning the Android OS more and not just releasing updates just for the sake. These chips seem to handle tasks very efficiently and deliver phenomenal results and hence phones running those have good/great battery lives.

Why are you fans of GHz?, do not think that increased processor frequency is the sole factor for phone performance. And by mentioning iPhone , I can tell that it is the most reliable phone with aging. All android flagships I used before ( s5, xperiaZ, G2, note2) I did factory reset after 6-9 month of use. I have iPhone 6 for 9 month now and is pretty responsive and so fast. My iPhone 4s is still working pretty good ( bought it dec 2011) now used by my brother. So, please do kill yourselves with which processor is better, it's a matter of overall performance, reliability and productivity.
