No, you are wrong mostly. Android IS better than BlackBerry. I never did like Android much, but it's the most practical OS out there for us, nerds, and for others too. However OS like BB, WP will be cheered by my parents and kinds, however they don't really matter that much.

Crappy S6? LOL! Come with something better, otherwise no one will read the rest of your comment. Yeah, I did, because I had nothing better to do.

I have always wanted a hardware keyboarded Android and here it might be, I am excited, however wish Samsung was involved, just for the sake of the display!

Just what we do not need. Bloated Android spyware. We certainly will not buy any Blackberry with Android. It is just defeating the purpose. Better for a party like Samsung to build a Blackberry device. We do not want Android that leaks like a sieve. Apps????? OK so may be 20-30 Apps are really useful. So what. The rest are games. So What. Hell man get a life if your only thrill in life is playing games. Meanwhile Blackberry and Samsung are you listening. You both need each other, strangely enough given the crappy S6 and Android security issues, and BB needs a decent hardware manufacturer. It is certainly not the case that Android is better than BB. It is perception verses reality. I changed from a Z30 to a S5 and what a mistake that was. Don t let the so called expert market commentators push BB into a corner. Differentiation is needed. Samsung is loosing market share, so differentiate with a BB OS. Try it. You have nothing to loose.

It looks like an s6 with a touch of Blackberry. Maybe that was what the collaboration with Samsung was about.

But a 5.4&qu... moreI would GLADLY buy a Passport-2 upgraded to LARGER 16x9 screen with WIDE slide-out physical keyboard. Best of both worlds. And, for what it's worth, for business, productivity, simplicity and just sheer coolness, who in their right mind would choose Android over BB OS-10??? My daughter's i5c and son-in-law's i6 are toys which can't even detect a signal in areas off the beaten path. BlackBerry has awesome radios! Hardware AND Software superiority. Might not win on paper... but kicks a$$ in the trenches! B-{\

Why Android..., 03 Jul 2015First of all there also Android builds which google doesn't... moreAs a Linux user I have to politely disagree. Yes, there are Android builds without Google, so what? How many use them? How do they use them without Google Play? Yes it's "sort of" Linux but with 2 layers of Google bloatware/spyware it's not too efficient. If not Android itself, then it's the apps - "we'll just throw in whatever, someone will add more cores and more RAM to run it". A few days ago my computer got an update and after a reboot it was using 5 MB of RAM less than before. When Google updates something you need one more core to move all those pixels around the display. Shortly, Linux apps are constantly optimized, Google keeps talking about optimizing Android and making promises but always fails. Also, there's no malware (to speak of) on Linux. But Android? Oh yes.
If Android didn't exist people would be using Symbian which actually IS optimized. iPhone? Let's not mention it. My 2010 Nokia N8 has a HDMi out.
                              1. That's just keeping up with the times.
                              2. Feature phones had themes ever since they got color displays. Symbian supports themes, changing icons and launchers.
                              3. My N8 has USB on-the-go which includes USB sticks, portable hard disks and keyboards. Probably a mouse too, haven't tried.
                              4. Maemo. And Symbian. Except back then hardware was inferior.
                              5. That's hardware. Keeping up with the times.
                              6. Multi web browser? Symbian S60. You could run Opera, UC and native browser at the same time if you wanted.
                              7. Hardware again.
Leave BlackBerry alone. They are one of the few that still do their own thing. That's more freedom than being another robot.

Google bought Android which used Java, Google f.cked Sun by coping the entire Java API, JME was licensed and Google didn't want to pay. So thank Nokia, Ericsson, Sun and Samsung. Google is nothing but ads ads ads ads.. Linux? Use Jolla then.

                                      And about BB-OS...
Its slow (Even newer BB devices with SD801), outdated, very less application and games store, ugly designs.

I don't give a f.ck what do you think about google but Android is Linux and Linux is Life, but BB runs entirely on Java...
