"the Note is losing its removable
          battery. "

HTC and Sony went the "non-removable battery" path few years ago, and look at them now, their fans are leaving them and both companies are strugling to survive.

and now Samsung is trying to follow their 'success' story?
          wtf is going on here?????

please Samsung don't force us to buy another brand because lack of microSD, etc. you had saw what happened to S6 sales.

you eat your own word when bashing Apple. people hate such hypocrisy. please listen to your old user of note4/s5 or below.

Joy, 14 Jul 2015Battery < 4000mah = fail Non removable Battery = Fail ... moreWell Non Type C is a failure, but non removable battery might be a good thing. I had to change my samsung note & the battery still is bad. I think its my pure luck, coz I met heavy users that lasts with them full day. I loose power in 12 hours or less without using it. BUT at least that will force manufacturures to make extended batteries on the original one and that is better I think. Coz when you take off the original battery you wont use it at all, going back and forth.

I think the BIG thing other than the processor will be Samsung Pay. If yo udon't know about it look it up. Samsung bought another company called Loop Pay last year. Their mobile payment system is awesome. Almost all current/existing POS terminals will be able to accept payments from your phone. So my hope is that the GS6+ and the SN5 will have this feature.

I have a note 3, I've never replaced the battery in mine, infact its excellent and im a heavy user so 4000mah is enough, I have 32gb memory and a 16gb memory card, I have loads of apps, photos, vidoes, music and I've never even used my memory card storage, just hope the camera front and back are better and better s pen usability and nice crisp screen.

Everyone keeps talking about a non-removable battery like it's the worst thing to ever happen to a phone. I've had every iteration of the Note and HTC Series and haven't replaced a battery in a phone ever (whether I had the choice or not). Sure, I've run out of juice and wished I could just pop in a new one but 99% of the time, I am either home, at work or in a vehicle, all of which have multiple power sources so I am constantly around power. And if they deliver on the promises of the bigger battery, wireless charging, etc, will you need to fork out another 40-something bucks to carry around a spare battery? I like having the option but I'm not going to abandon Samsung if they lock the battery in.

C'mon Samsung still no stereo speakers.......?? We don't wanna do shave with our phone, instead of reducing the thickness you can put big battery in it and peoples can use their phone in whole day, and worth for what they pay....!!

camera and memory spec will decide success.

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2015I heard people saying another epic fail year after year for... moreWhat does Apple have anything to do with this article, Apple NEVER had removable battery or micro SD card expansion in any of their phones, but Samsung always had, until they started to try to be like Apple, and remove those two features that made Samsung different from the others, and grace their owners choices. This new path Samsung is taking is because they want to make sure that you will get a new phone every 1-2 years.
