I have the LG G Pad 8.3, buy it recently, and is an amazing tablet, first tablet actually. The resolution is 1920x1200 IPS and looks great... This new model, must be an update of this tablet.

AnonD-322352, 25 Jul 2015It won't be a noticeable difference. But I do agree, it's a... moreSurely the 120 pixels difference won't be seen in daily use, but this resolution has own advantage which makes me to choose 1920x1080 pixels rather than 1920x1200 resolution is when you use this tablet to play videos (which almost everything now has 16:9 ratio), it won't left a small black borders in top & bottom screen so you have full 8.3" watching experience, not 8.2" or say 8.1" screen.

It will be suicide for LG if it does that, actually GPad 8.3 Really excellent tablet but no Lollipop.
Only tablet I don't want to sell, you want to keep it with you allways.
However LG never supports their devices only a few of them.
If LG brings new GPad 8.3 with even SD810, will I buy it?
Probably not because of shamefull software update...

zerox, 25 Jul 2015Theoretically g4 will perform better. Sd 808>sd805 ☺Mindblown. A theory based on SoC model number alone. So what if 8 is higher than 5?

SD805 is a very powerful chip for such a low resolution. Should feel very fast in use!

zerox, 25 Jul 2015Theoretically g4 will perform better. Sd 808>sd805 ☺Nope. As other commenters pointed out, the Adreno 420 in S805 is more powerful than the Adreno 418 in S808. This doesn't help when the G4 has a lot more pixels to light up.
