Cheap metal or cheap plastic, but plastic is smarter because it is a RADIO device and metal always get in the way.

Bought the LG G4, as an early adopter, and was totally underwhelmed and felt it may as well have been the G3! The G2 was sublime and I really liked the G3 with all its faults, especially irritated by its over sharpening and was seriously looking for the G4 to wow me...alas, it had the opposite effect. Don't get me wrong but it really needed more than a gimmicky leather back to hit home. SO, sales tanking is hardly a surprise, sold mine to CEX a week after purchase! My two pennies worth!

FrankDrebin, 30 Jul 2015Why would they need to be cheaper than Apple on high end de... moreyou are wrong and not any kind of brand fan but the difference between apple and other system is that when u purchase an iphone u get almost 3 years of support for updates no matter the hardware ur device has,any bug is fixed right away they update and u either connect the phone to the pc or over the air and thats it,runs smooth even with small specs sheet,dont get confused with the number of cores... the iphones devices with 2 cores like the 6 for example runs faster than many sd 800 processors being 4x and 2.3 gz ...it is system optimization and choosing the right hardware ...when u purchase an android most of the times u get the high spexs sheet thats right with too many features not on iphones devices yet or for many upcomming years... but sadly os updates are terrible because of the timing and because of the tons of bugs that u get but for solve them the gap are related to months or never. and ur phone is ruined..meaning that u have to go back to the best possible os that ur phone had but ull be outdated after all.

They ve reinvented everything perfectly and made it availlable for consumers.
Apple's sales defines the company product. Whole world is not foolish to buy a hyped product, its good that is why people buy it.
HTC build the first proper touchscreen smartphone. But they dint succeed because it wasn't perfect.

LG/HTC and samsung has profit down unless apple phone.. i can said that I phone 6 and 6 Plus is too sucessfull. Many Ifan already and like large screen more small screen. This year, Apple can win and over profit..

They are rushing with new models too fast and they are making confusion with that, because almost all phones are designed nearly the same with minimum difference in specification, and also, there is pricing, starting from 100 to 1000 Euros. The expensive one are more expensive than other brands with similar characteristics, exept iPhone wich is expensive all the time, no matter what they give in terms of specs or looks

People still don't see the problem. LG can't make anything good, I don't understand this, how hard is it to understand? Making average or below average displays, offloading them to different other assemblers (Apple) for mobile phone, then monitors (Dell), and those cheap and utterly overpriced mobile phones, which come at a flagship price yet nowhere near to be anything flagship material, awful built, awful reception, messed up UI, I don't know how LG is in the business to be honest, let alone that 60% less profit or whatever. You must do at least ONE thing good (decent) right? And what is it that LG do exactly?
Some cheap anti-Samsung stupid are keeping LG in the business, but just like everything else its just a matter of time.
This is no news to me.

One of the factors is the LG G4. I had almost bought it but changed my mind last minute due to the low battery juices. It is far worst than my G3. Doesn't matter all other features have improved, but for me longer battery duration is a must have. Period.

I currently own LG G2 and this is still a great device till now. But i do believe G4 is overpriced. I see a greater inovation in Samsung S6 edge.

I think it's really sad cause the G4 is obviously a great device, greater than the G3 and G2 which were also great.
The issue is definitely with pricing. I don't need a premium built phone if the internals are relevant. But obviously the price has to go down. The G4's differentiator is its camera, which still fails to beat Samsung's.
No waterproofing, plastic but fragile, no fingerprint reader, no stereo speakers...
It's great, but it should cost less.

Actually android high end devices are priced fairly right (the z3 compact I have was $500 and it looks, performs and is better in every aspect than an iphone), all this sturggle is to blame on Apple, they are selling $200 (an iphone 6 is $300 at best) products at $650, they are stocking billions of dollars that are sitting still, without innovating, all that cash could be used by companies like motorola, sony, to innovate, but no, apple is still selling the iphone 4s as masked iphone "6".
