weeh, 31 Jul 2015samsung cant even solve the problem on their touchwiz and n... moreThe problem with your argument is that there are already Tizen devices released - The Z1 and the Gear S, and both of them run more smoothly and have superior battery life to their Android and iOS competition.

Samsung's TW problems have nothing to do with Tizen development at this point.

weeeh, 31 Jul 2015wake up sir, you're dreaming.. I also have the iPad 3 and it lags worse than my 5-year-old Android phones.

He's not lying. iOS is just horrible right now, and Apple doesn't have any smart engineers who can fix their problem.

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2015why u used iphone 3gs with ios 8 on it... of cause it will lag ~ I'm using the iPad 3 and iPhone 5s.

iOS is a disaster in its current form. It's even worse than Android, which I also think is horrible.

Tizen, from an optimization standpoint, is leagues above both iOS and android.

Samsung should kill Tizen and go for Amazon Fire OS
or Jolla should kill Sailfish and BB to kill BBOS and move to Tizen

there are too many OS variations going nowhere,
its better to focus on single good OS with lots of support

AnonD-97496, 30 Jul 2015I really don't see the point of Tizen. Once a year, Samsung... moreHave you even used Tizen...?
You can't say anything bad about Tizen without using it...!
My friend has Samsung Z1 ( Tizen Smartphone) , its really great , its like iPhone(ios) which don't need more processing cores or more RAM to run smoothly...!
Tizen is really efficient , even with the small 1500mah battery , it lasts almost 2 days of heavy usage...!
I am not saying that Tizen is better than Android , i personally Android than anything else...it's just a good alternative OS to Android & IOS...!

Once a year, Samsung... moreThe point of Tizen is to make Samsung phone have immediate updates directly to Samsung users. Using android is a hassle for Samsung. They have to wait for Google on the new updated software and Samsung have to alter and optimized them again after receiving the software from Google for touchwiz before being released to consumers.

Once a year, Samsung... moreI think tizen can become a OS that will be get latest OS updated irrespective of the device you are using. If yes, then it will be game changer. just see the news, Google never bothered to update or give latest updates to billions of devices. tizen is Samsung answer to Google face.

                                  Good strategy regarding market.
Samsung had had an bad experience by announcing BADA in early stage to mass market which was survived with only two valuable handsets (Wave & Wave 3).

Now, They start to familiarize market with their next move, roll out features, absorption of low end market, continuous R&D in certain area, release upgraded version to what is exist in market with other OS vendors.

This is an military strategy of operation in engaged battle field. After going backward for sometimes (in public view), they do what a catapult do: Throw what have been achieved until the fire time to the next level; If the targeted market hit by the OS, then there will be a huge success, but in case of failure, the stracture remains the same with no such operation loss, neither ecomonical nor technological. Now Tizen is in pulling phase, the more pulling, the further OS will go.

If Samsung wait for two more years with such strategy, Tizen will either become the second OS in market behind Android or meet the BADA's fate.

I really don't see the point of Tizen. Once a year, Samsung announces a new iteration to the platform with features that Android has had for almost 2 years. It's just like a poor man's Android (which is not required because Moto E and Moto G and Android One would essentially undercut any of Samsung's attempts).

All that time and money would be better spent on Samsung's SmartTV or TouchWiz or their NX lineup or some other nice product.
