Anand, 02 Aug 2015What else can we do? Unless a pro-western company that does... moreApparently nobody understands what i've said, and not just a small sentence but the whole thing. This is about greed (their never ending turst for money) the slavery is just a very small part, the sadest and bigger part is the fact that they do the same crappy phones they did before with the same amount of money they have paid before but rising the prices to an ridiculos amount. I would have paid them (ok, i will not pay a samsung phone), if i knew the money goes where they need to go. But when i think of the fact that 200 (maybe, a big maybe) goes there and the rest in the thurst for money immoral peoples poclets i i will rather give the mony to an nursing facility.

    Carol, 01 Aug 2015Meah, smartphones this days!!! And to think they were done ... moreWhat else can we do? Unless a pro-western company that does not kowtow to the politically correct universe says screw it, lets make it in the west and charge a hundred bucks more. I personally would be happy giving China less business because they attacked Tibet.

      The price is right. Samsung can charge the highest price, because they have the best phones

              I guess people never learn! Bottom line, this is still a Samsung phone and that alone means the price point is likely to be considered too high especially given there the resale value is likely to drop significantly within a few weeks of its release. The S6 Edge's value dropped 40% in terms of resale value within a couple of weeks of release. The competition, when you get beyond the eye candy, new kid in town aspect simply offer better value for money. There is a reason Samsung's smart phone sales, whilst still high in comparison to other brands save for Apple, in relative terms have dropped.

              Me, I think I will stick with my S6 and look to get the Moto X Style which seems great Value for Money....

                Anonymous, 31 Jul 2015Not true - 100% profit means there is no cost. $440 would b... morei am sure you slept during maths class ..

                Refer wikipedia for basics ;-)
                Below is the text which i copied from wiki ..

                Profit percentage[edit]
                On the other hand, profit percentage is calculated with cost price taken as base

                \text{profit percentage} = {\text{net profit}\over\text{cost price}}
                Suppose you buy something for $100 and sell it off for $150.

                cost price = $100
                selling price (revenue) = $150
                profit = $150 − $100 = $50
                profit percentage (profit divided by cost) = $50/$100 = 50% profit percentage
                R.O.I. (return on investment) multiple = $50/$100 (profit divided by cost). If your profit is the same as your cost, that doesn't equate to 100% return on investment, it equates to 0%. The result above or below 100% can be calculated as the percentage of return on investment. In this example, the return on investment is a multiple of 0.5 of the investment, resulting in a −50% loss on ROI.

                      Good !! Some idiots will buy it then regret :) coz in 2/3 months it will drop at least 50% - ve seen same with so called premium samsung phones ...better get moto x, moto g if you like android..Eventually normal ppl (except fans) will understand high end phone from these brands are nothing but useless , causes frustrations in 2/3 months. iPhone is also pricey but if you want iOS then you don't have other options. I personally found iOS is better than android(I don't own iPhone , only iPad mini & xperia z2). For example xperia z2 has 21 mp camera but its slowww & take bad pics ..

                                    People will buy luxury goods, whether you like it or not. But if you're so concerned around supporting "slave labour", stop buying pretty much everything. You know that everything you own and touch is produced in either China, Bangladesh or some other country that corporations can exploit? This is the world you live in, try and make a meaningful change where you CAN and stop whinging about the rest.

                                      AnonD-341019, 31 Jul 2015Still expensive Cheap or Die !!! that's the rules, no mat... moreWell, that is YOUR point of view. There are plenty of people out there with that much money that they literally don't know what to spend it on.

                                        Meah, smartphones this days!!! And to think they were done in the same way 4 years ago, the economy is the same, and they pay the poor Chinese people with 100 dollars (maximum) per Month... the same. Same crap material and bragging about so called "Innovations" that nobody really needs, the same. And at those times Samsung cost 450 euros bragging about how good they are and how close to iPhone but at a more affordable price. Now, i'm thinking, is crapple and their useless phones guilty about this imperceptibly prices or is just greed going stronger and stronger? I remember Nokia selling 400 euro high quality devices and all their products were made in Europe. This guys here had almost 3000 euro per Month in Germany. Now, everything is expensive and made in China. Can this "great" (greedy) manufacturers explain how come? All I can say is: SHAME. Modern slavery becoming even more harsh and impertinent.
