Microsoft is a true productivity tools. If Microsoft start producing a Lumia Note with in-built stylus I bet they can take over phablet market too. All I need is MS Words and MS Powerpoint, the two most used productivity tools in the whole world.

Last time i checked statistics, more than 90% of the world use Windows. There's no need to do a survey.

As any company has to keep with market demands and trends in order to be relvant and competitive.Autocad 3d max and so on can be used wirh custom desktops and laptops. Alienware are also not the only laptop company to offer sli laptops and deffenatly pricewise are uncompetitive and had to restructure few times to keep with changing market. Anyhow to the point marketshare of professionals as in finance, economy, law, tech, ect many chose Apple due to echosytem and the structure of the company as well as the product. Only few niches in tech use android in general but dut go ahead and do a questionnaire on every field I mentioned.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2015I like your drawing. Did you draw this with Galaxy Note? Aw... moreDone while eating my sandwich. Of course it was done with my Note 3, using the S Pen's pressure input to control the thin-thick lines. Sketchbook Pro comes free with the Note 3. I do believe nothing has come close to a Wacom pen being integrated onto the Halcyon series. No battery needed.

Magnesium happens to be stronger than aluminium. A friction stand would be stiff enough to adjust to any angle you'd need, be it vertical or horizontal position. I always have to prop up my Note in order to watch, and so this would be so useful being integrated, even for MOST people. Look at Surface Pro 3.

Imagine if this design was for the Note 6... If Samsung goes back to its original vision of the Galaxy Note being SO much useful than anything else in its category - not the less able, less features, more fragile Note 5.

              http://flic.kr/p/wiuRKs

Of course I'd love the battery technology to jump to 10 times and degrades even slowly. Well, we're still stuck with present lithium-ion technology. Industrial designing of a better battery locking mechanism, a futuristic camera, loader speakers technology that's twice the present, the S Pen being waterproofed, friction stand mechanism, and all the tech here are all developed by so many people, funded by companies, and mass produced with methods again developed by so many more people.

We can all dream what that product is. Yes, you pretty much want to bait me to drawing my idea, and these concept features aren't all new. It's all dependent on the technologies developed, features prioritized, and will-power of the people involved. Marketing too does play a role in making something popular to make people buy.

I'd rather have the pen silo totally out of the design and an external "valley" for it makes it IP certified (oh please Samsung, take my idea!). A kickstand that is thin like MS Surface tablets is possible. Battery sizes can be an easy option, but also IP certified with no cause of shortcuiting even if wet. All impossible? Just a matter of time when the technical engineers can solve these with very sturdy construction. Magnesium metal can be an option. I'd like to see something like this actually built.

Samsung is still making money bro. All of their customers are aiming to get the Note 4 instead of Note 5. You proved that the Note series is a tool for professional job like lecturing and architect . I would love to see you design your own version of Note series with that tools and let us see what great ideas you have. Really.

I often do it if i have a long flight or road trip. I have 60GB of layered topo maps on my phone for work/recreation. Android and Samsung has been about options. Removing the SD card is removing an option... complaining won't do anything but another sales slump (after the S6 slump) will send the message to Samsung.

I don't only do entertainment. I do use excel to manage the classes I teach. Word processors that sync my papers on my cloud storage like JotterPro, so I can still write on the go easily when I have things to add right away. I sketch with my Galaxy Note for designing architecture.

I can do portraits with Sketchbook Pro, Adobe Photoshop Touch, and sketch what I observe. Here are examples what I've done, if you can bother to have a look.

I use my Galaxy Note as a hotspot most of the time and take advantage of the unlimited data plan i have. In the classroom I use it to cast my lectures using the LED TV connected with a Chromecast. I can control the TV and projector too with the infrared blaster.

No, I pretty much think a Galaxy Note as a serious tool. Of course I have an Alienware laptop to do all my 3D Revit and CAD when I need to, but I don't carry 5KG extra daily just to watch as you suggested. I'm mainly concerned about battery life efficiency, if you haven't read my full explanation - they actually degrade over time, and need replacement to hold better charges.

The only real upgrade on note 4 is performance, which I'll hardly miss on my n910c exynoss version.

Streaming services also offer 320 kb in ogg and is just the start and prices will contiously fall as other enter the market this why competition exist but you instead would want to stay in same place. Both companies of phones look at market demands and profits. Welcome to realty.

TheNeighbor, 11 Aug 2015This is the backward thinking with these underpowered users... more Let me get esentally you saying your phone is not a toy even if you using for entertainment purposes mainly like watching hd movies and reading books. And in other cases playing games and yet you call it a tool. You can buy still external sd and an adapter but since you don't want to use it as a tool than esentally you dont to bother to have a stick /carrying .That is called esthetic which you concerned is of the phone and they have upgraded Regarding the rest is also marketing. Is also marketing the spec race. I use my iphone in office far more pruductive way than you using exel and even linked to vbasic to view the office work/ change, skype to talk with some clients ,running open table for dinner meeting reservation, buying ticket on the go on delra air italia etc ,use bloomberg pro and sp capital iq , using few other programs as runtastic to keep track of my running rutines/ gym and so many others yet you say you have your phone as a tool. The phone need to be esthatically pleasing since you will have it always with you and have nomal specs to run most of programs. If you want a pc buy a pc to watch movies and play games. For the battery you still can buy a back up or a portable charger that is and you can carry and connect it instead of replacing and problem solved. If you can't carry than is your problem as phones companies are in for making profits and follwing market demands not following bunch of ghetto userswho think they are entitled . Let me remind where samsung was this year with note 4 and samsung s5 50 percent of market share. But yet many tend to forget why samsung took the revolutionary step.
