it is apple not any other brand , so 1gb ram is enough for it , because it's memory card is not a general memory card , it is apple flash memory , which is very faster , so it handle overload of this phone like a ram , because it's swap memory is very powerful, so it is comparable easy with 2gb or 3gb ram not very big different , and also know that ios is world much faster os so i think 1 gb ram is enough , i used 5s and 6 and i don't get any problem or hang like android any time , so it is definitely clear that apple is apple .don't compare this with any other brand

Actually it comes down to design decisions for both OS.
One is controlled in how application work, trying to control every aspect of it. Just look at the developers page for iOS and you will find out just how many restrictions are imposed on applications. There is not true background multitasking. They can reload pages, yes sure but what if I want to keep a page for when I don't have any connectivity. You get notifications of thing but thats just a banner, you wont get the actual content until you open app, one side effect of not having background task/multi-tasking. And the list goes on. I own an iPhone 5, and there are lags. I am not complaining, just stating the facts. The tiles that you see in task manager are simply a snapshot and everything is loaded again. Yes its a design choice, but it forces a few things. You can argue that iOS can run on 1GB but changing to 2GB and giving some freedom to apps to run a little is basically no big deal, maybe it add a couple of extra dollar to manufacturing cost.

Android on the other hand is all about freedom. You as a developer has control over the sandbox provided to you. You want to run in background, sure do that. You want to keep content updated in background, sure do that or not if you don't want to. There is not much imposed by Android itself. They don't say that the "system will decide when and what your app can do". While you can argue that developers should not be given any freedom, again its a design choice and Android chose to give that freedom. With that kind of freedom, you need matching hardware. Thus the requirements.

Its really down to philosophies rather than good or bad design. Total control vs Complete freedom. I can design an advanced OS that only need 512 MB ram, but I have to sacrifice a lot freedom. Both philosophies have there pros and cons. Google work on open sources and they share their code frequently. Apple is all about control and closeness.

You should wonder with those specs how come iPhone and HTC flagship cost the same (maybe a little cheaper). Hardware components dont cost much. 1GB ram or 2GB may cost the same, unless that require redesigning things which would be a really bad design in term of software/hardware engineering.

IMO, Apple main important is battery life only. Look at their products - all with lowest specs.
If they made it run 2.0ghz, battery life would not last a day for what Apple only is boasting.

With the low ram, it could only mean one thing: sadly, no split screen on iphones. Apple should really implement split acreen across their new devices to really have a function that is not native to android.

Comparing RAM from one OS to another is quite pointless. Android needs a few GB to work well. iOS is a bit more strictly managed, and needs one GB to work well. Symbian (killed by Nokia) was compulsive-obsessive on memory, and would need 1/4 GB to work well. In the end, its what the OS will DO with the RAM that matters.
