Even... moreit's not just a watch...it's a smartwatch so having to charge it once every two or 7 days way much better then charging it every 4 hours...if this 250mAh can last longer than 410mAh like the one on LG G watch R then i wouldn't complain ..but if not then i will say Samsung is a stupid company for ruining what it could've been a great smartwatch.

the face at the bottom would be much better with a 15 where 13 presently occupies. dumb to see a mix of date and mins. the outer mark side of the mark could've had the hour, inner min and the date near the center. hope a better face or custom faces can be made easily and used soon.

Check out the Samsung S9110 watch phone which looks similar to all of the Samsung Gear series. It is the ancestor to modern smartwatch. That is why Samsung decided to enter the round face watch market inspired by Motorola. Rectangle is so 5 years ago. We want a realistic authentic rolex-like smartwatch. Not a square toy attached to the wrist. The Gear S curved display just not working anyway. Apple Watch2 will be round face for sure. This Gear S2 will be all metal and rotating bezel. Run on Tizen latest version 2.3.0.1 soon. There shouldn't be an issue of who copied who because wrist watch have no patent according to the law. Watches shape and the idea of attaching it to the wrist is not patentable because it is such an obvious idea that exist since 16th century. Queen Elizabeth the first was the first owner of a wrist watch during that time. Now you know why a watch have a crown.

DarK, 13 Aug 2015well it looks pretty but what use of beauty if it have only... moreIts just a watch. Watches never need a lot of battery. Even non-smartwatch have battery size smaller than your aspirin and have enough power to work the watch for a good two years. 250mah is more than enough.

Might be a bit of bad news, on my part.
The Gear S with it's curved display looks quite nice. And it has a bigger display. It has a few shortcomings, that I was hoping they would adress for the second generation.
But if there isnt two versions of the S2, it will be a trade-down in some departments. And really I'm not that big of fan of round smartwatches, as round displays are very inefficient, with a lot of empty space when displaying information, as text isnt round in that matter.

I scrutinized the video by slowing it down to 0.25x, and that ROTATING BEZEL!! (not digital crown, Apple). That's even sicker than small piece crown! Can't wait to buy it. Even though it runs Tizen, it will probably have 2-4 days avg battery life--BETTER than Android Wear. Tizen is smooth as well--I own a Gear 2, which runs on Tizen 2.1 and it never lags. Gosh, Gear S2 's gonna rest on my wrist!!

Gear from the very beginning was rushed product... They released it soo quickly only to be the first.... They didnt cared that they release ugly prototypes though... It was only matter of being the first..... As always with Samsung... their motto "release first even if its a prototype and dont care about customers paying a lot of money for it".

Frankly, ASUS ZenWatch still looks the best by far. Why is everyone so obsessd with round watches when you can clearly design beautiful square watch...

The Gear S2 looks AMAZING. It is very elegant, and should have an impressive feature set. I'm looking forward to the announcement!
It is also worthy of note that Samsung the Gear smartwatch to the market almost 2 years before the Apple watch for those screaming 'copy'. Ironically, the Apple Watch (2015) looks similar in shape to the original Samsung Galaxy Gear (2013).
