I like the ui. Seems functional. From initial observations watch looks sleek and miles ahead of Apple watch. I hope the battery life is great too!

The phone icon and messaging icons, does NOT necessarily mean it will have it's own cellular connection. My old Gear 2 Neo has both those icons, and it will take calls and message, but it does it through the connected phone. But, hopefully they will release multiple variations, one with it's own SIM card (cell connected). and a bluetooth only version.

Samsung is also the first smartwatch maker in the world. Shame on Apple, or specifically 'Appall' Watch, the most appalling watch ever copied by Apple. Beside, keep your digital crown. Samsung never used that at all. We have rotating bezel, the same technology used in divers watch.

I have seen the circular icons a lot since Samsung Z(2014) apps icon and even Samsung Galaxy setting menu. They used it on all of their Tizen phones. Tizen is pure Samsung assets.
