That image is really unfair. I only read a few comments, but a lot of them probably thought it was a represenative image of how large that tablet would be.

I would say that the hardware seems underwhelming. And I'm not a big fan of Android tablets.
But I dont see what would be so bad with tablets that size. Sure, they wont be truly mobile. But you could carry them from one room to another, for kids to play with, or watch videos on. Or you could put it on a stand, connect bluetooth/wired keyboard+Pointe device and you have a "desktop" computer.

If they did one with high resolution, and S Pen, it could be a great tool, with a good work surface (~12 inches is not that much for serious work at a desk, but a pretty good compromise when you want to be mobile)

Size is one thing, but hugely damaging to the quality of the screen. A ppi of 119 is laughable! They should be offering the best screen quality after all they're in the business of making screens. A target of 500ppi should be achievable and then... who needs, wants a tablet of those proportions? I need to make my jeans pockets bigger!

So many issues here. Why do you need a back camera on an 18 incher? They should put the 8 mpx in front. 1.6 processor is weak for the size. Battery is also inadequate. You can't carry it around...I mean why would you... what is the point???? For the price, people will prefer a slim laptop which has a more powerful processor and works on a OS better equipped than Android. Sorry but this is like buying a Ferrari with a Toyota Echo Chassis and engine.

played right, this may have the potential to do to microsoft what it did to nokia. attach a keyboard and mouse, give it adequate firepower and battery backup. Android is slowly narrowing the gap on windows as to what it is capable of.

Ok its time to lay hand on Samsung. Those who wants it and or need it will be willing to pay for real top notch specs. Why would I buy 18" for such specs?

Cool and way to go Samsung. If it was true, I'll buy a few hundreas for my various restaurant and my retail shops, mayb e afew

I've known the size of monitors and the current monitor I'm using is a 17 inch lcd monitor. An 18.4 inch would have been a little bit bigger. But that screen size is over the 20 inches size.

Second, processors and ram is also the worst part. With that size. You can almost fit a computer RAM on it. So a 2GB ram is a very old one. As android M is fast approaching. Having a greater ram is a wise option. That also goes for the processor speed. At 1.6 ghz. It's almost like having an old desktop processing speed.

Third, with that size. You can almost fit an SSD inside it. So why it has only 32GB of storage?

Finally. An 18.4 inch tablet should have the battery capacity of over 15,000 mah because of the display. A 5,700 mah battery won't last half of the day.

who is it for? Hulk? Gorilla? good luck playing Fruit Ninja on it and looking like a rabid hooman.
                                  --Grumpy Cat

why 5,700mah battery when their note pro is 9,500mah batter and poor display option. in fact its better that the tablet never goes into production. i thought now may be a good time for Samsung to consider we that have myopia and hyper myopia. i wont spend my money buying that actually. 18.4 inches is good but the specs are bad mostly the battery and display.

119 ppi pixel density! It seems that Samsung bought an old 1980s Toshiba TV screens warehouse?!!
