This is hardly true. Samsung has failed to announce it for Europe at all and we're hardly going to get it. Edge is almost the same, but it is wrong to consider it a good replacement. And regarding Active version - no, the same way Europe never got S6 Active, it will not get Note 5 Active.

Need to fix their aggessive application closure fault before I'm going near that thing - only way to be sure that the battery is adequate.

This move was the worst move Samsung could have done. I will never buy a samsung product again because of this.

Visited my local Three store today in UK, and chap said they will have the Note 5 at end of August, which I suppose means September allowing for delays.

S.Korea is so lucky. The Note5 there is cheaper than Note4. I'm talking about launch price.

                              Good news for Europe.

i hope this is true..... it seemed such a stupid move to entirely miss out the WHOLE of europe where the note in the past has actually sold very well, in my opinion this was done just so they could meet sales demand while being able to produce enough handsets, and what i mean is that this phone went on sale in some countries 12 HOURS after the official announcement, there would be no way they could build that many phones for the whole world in a matter of days so have staggered the release subject to want and demand, i will wait for the silver 64gb version for a few more days at least before importing

But now we've also had rumours of a Note 5 active, I'd much rather have that... Or a surface phone if the active stays out of UK.

"In the past the "F" suffix has been reserved for the European version of Samsung's phones, for example the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5. Alternatively, the "F" could indicate the global variant once the Asian and US carrier-specific models are excluded - effectively the same thing".

So the entire continents of Africa and Australasia have disappeared?

The F variant could well be South African. Europe also uses the FY variant.
The bluetooth certifications are months old ... the only reason to believe this article is the korean article mentions european release on the 28th.
Is it true ? wait 4 days to find out i guess.
A better question is : will it be in time to unruffle the feathers of hundreds of thousands of european customers who feel like pariahs and are looking elsewhere for a new smart phone ?
