I just tested yesterday in Apple store the new Iphone 6s and the quality of the camera it's awesome , i also tested the 4k option and i like it very much .

It pushes tech when the market is ready for it. and when they do push out tech, you can be sure that it is the best on the market. In other words, yes other devices had 4k capture 2 years ago. BUT Apples FIRST venture into 4K capture will FROM THE START beat out all the competition. Apple doesnt worry about being first to the market with new tech (not always) BUT they do make sure that the tech they do push out, is the BEST.

See, the thing with 4K is that it's still in its infancy and 4K TV's are barely affordable now, so there's really no reason for non-professionals to give two s**ts about it. Plus they use ridiculous amounts of space, and with 128GB on-board memory only NOW becoming a new standard (don't give me SD cards), it's not surprising that 4K wasn't a priority for Apple.
The few laptops and computers THAT DO offer 2-5K displays are unsurprisingly Apple hardware, so it would have made sense for them to launch 4K sooner, but obviously the CUSTOMER NEED wasn't there 1-2 years ago.
Launching a piece of technology at the wrong time can have unforeseen consequences. A 32GB iPhone user just "playing around" with the video camera would very quickly fill up the flash memory, and without knowing why, that would very quickly lead to a complaint. Few Apple users actually understand the technology that's inside...

Its ironic that the 2 biggest phone companies (samsung and apple) argue but the reality is that samsung make huge profits from the iphone .Samsung supply 67% of the components for the iphone , which are not the best or newest but the loyality or stupidity (the 2nd option is the correct one btw) allows apple to charge huge amounts for mediocrity .....Long my it continue .
Fan boys keep digging deep cos Apple and Samsung love you all...just because you throw away money without a thought ......

now if apple is charging more then why it isn't going down? samsung is going down in profit margin though, if one can give something apple is not giving, its their death for sure
