But really, why would you ever put in the wrong side and push it in all the way. I mean I have never tried to write with the wrong side of a pen. I would always look at what I'm doing with such an expensive device.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2015Hence the use of the word "innovation," and not i... moreInnovation and Invention are words that have no applicability for Apple. The last time those words had any relevance for Apple was back in the 80's.

As for this issue, it looks like somebody is desperate and grasping at straws to have some means to malign the Note series.

If I jam something into the audio jack of iPhone, that is also going to get damaged. Is it Apples fault that they are not preventing people from doing unintended things?

There are any number of untended things that you can do to any gadget and damage them. Those are not really design issues. Unlike Apple Fanboi's, Most of Note series users have better IQ than monkeys, so it is not going to be an issue for them as they are not dumb enough to jam the stylus the wrong way in and then complain about it.

If you want a real design issue, then look no further than Apples Lighting connector. The connectors are so flimsy and poorly designed that they regularly break often while connected to the phone and they are also easily corroded. In fact, it would look like they are compromised deliberately so people have to keep spending money on new cables.

farhaantariq, 29 Aug 2015as usual...a failed and stupid device from Samsung...since ... morethey didn't make phones with sealed batteries until they were able to make phones that could lasts you a whole day on a single charge ! ( iPhone 6 battery still dies mid-day and I start hurling to get a charger )
Have you heard of google wallet ? the service which existed when apple didn't even know what NFC meant ?
Now for the design : you do know that nowadays with phones that have big screens the design choices are pretty limited ! since the screen is the major point of attraction ... knowing that you could now see that there are very little design to do since all phones are now rectangular ( samsung always had the faux-metal band around the phone and a back that sometimes mimicked glass or other materials such as leather )
As for materials : you do realize that screens are actually made of glass right ? so apple didn't invent glass nor did they invent metal ! ( and to be honest apple " copied " the htc one even though I don't believe in copying specially in this industry )
So now that samsung are using the actual materials that they used to make plastic look like you are calling them out for copying ?
now about that fingerprint scanner you know that phones from 2010 had fingerprint sensors ? now tell me how is a heart rate sensor bullshit if apple did make a watch and put the sensor in it so they can sell us one more device while samsung included them even in some mid-rangers ?

stop being such a fanboy and look up the facts :)

Fabricated story. No one on the planet is thick enough to put that pen in backwards, no one. Can you imagine trying to pull it out by the end curve and ball end when its flush, even if it didn't catch, ha ha ha.
Now Samsung have just released their flagships, and Samsung must have a big competitor somewhere, maybe, some rival ,about to release their new flagships imminently , maybe in dire competition with Samsung, maybe their current flagships have, lets say, inferior cameras, inferior screen and resolutions, massive bezels inside an inferior screen to case ratio, and lacking in more areas than time here will allow to be mentioned, so they, post a few ridiculous comments around the internet, so, they can be reposted as facts, well you are cleverer than me,I can't think of any firm like that, with billions in spare cash, with a massive Pr team, set up to marshall the internet and media ,so they only have 100% positive attention , and any threatening rival who gets too good and too powerfull ,only gets to seem second rate.
Answers on the back of a postage stamp please.

                              now seriously ? !
This is an issue with the phone ? well you people need to think this over . because I have never seen anyone insert the S-pen this way ! and anyone who does it deserves to have his phone broken . What retard would think the pen would be removable once you insert it like that? sorry guys but to me this looks like an intellectual problem with people who think they are having an issue with the phone because of this.it's like ingesting detergents and then blaming the company for not saying you " cannot drink that " even though it is obvious that you shouldn't. ( Although Samsung did state in the manual the proper way to pull out and insert the pen ).
and for those who might say I'm a Samsung fanboy I'm glad to tell you I am a happy iPhone and Galaxy user and satisfied with both ... The Note is a great phone and You guys should give credit where it's due .

as usual...a failed and stupid device from Samsung...since last 5 years Samsung bashing at apple for including sealed batteries and no expandable storage...now they themselves copying it...what a shameless company! copying everything from design (metal and glass) to specs (internal storage and battery to payments options...oh not to forget finger print sensor!).....on the other hand apple never copied stupid useless heart rate sensors and UV sensors and other b u l l s h i t!

                                      HERE IS THE REAL FIX:
So(if you are so concern about this BS"issue") , you should make two nice notches on the both sides on the top of the clicking cap. Then the obstructions will be avoided. You can even file the both sides of the top of the cap, if you prefer that "design" better.
Samsung could even make original "Moron'S Pen" like this, for those that see issue there , but first should pay me for the idea.
