I have Xperia Z2 (which was released about a year and a half ago) and the only thing, superior in the Z5, is the faster processor. I'll stick with my Z2 for now. The Z5 Premium on the other hand....

Very disappointing... Why Z5 Compact got thicker that Z3 Compact..? Hey Sony, can you explain.. ? Almost 9 mm thickness in relatively small phone makes it looking ugly and obsolete...
In my opinion Z5 Compact is just dead on arrival... There is no single serious reason to move from Z3 C to Z5 C. I'm sure that even power efficiency will be worse compared to Z3 C due to S810 known for it's so-so performance in terms of battery life.
I wasn't expecting such a bad products from Sony and disappointed. I was criticizing Samsung for Note5 but now I see that Sony did much worse...

Andrew, 02 Sep 2015Yuk. I loved the original Glass/metal, it was sophisticated... moreNah, frosted glass is better than glossy glass because the back won't get smudged. Also the Z5C looks much better than Z3C or Z1C. I have a Z1 Compact and I've gotta admit the front look uglier than Z3C and Z5C.

I love all your xperia z series, but please Sony don't use SD 810 chipset.. I am begging you.. Z3+ is the worst xperia series u ever had.. Please go for SD 808 or Tegra K1..

Yuk. I loved the original Glass/metal, it was sophisticated. This new matt crap looks like children's playtoys, not even remotely stylish. Makes me even feel bad for the Z3, it started the trend of "ugly compact" vs the bigger model and now the std Z5 gets the same treatment. Z5 Premium is the only one that still looks decent. What the hell happened to "exactly the same, just smaller"? Now it's, "exactly the same, but smaller, and ugly". Guess I'll be keeping my Z1C for a while longer yet. :/

Z5c could be a benchmark beast with only a 720p screen! Could waylay the overheating/throttling that the z5 and z5p will most certainly have under stress.

never liked Sony... looks Girly, and boring squarish design...
won't ever buy one after the Z1 Compact that made pathetic 20 megapixel photos that looked worse then my Nexus 5 HDR made... also the speaker had some flaws....

[deleted post]quality product!? i have z3 compact and its death after 6 month, i sent it to repair and after 1 month death again... sony phones are rubbish... my z3c overheat alot
