You want to take gaming into consideration? Shield tab has Portal and Half Life 2. Pretty sure iOS won't be getting them anytime soon."
IPhone already have many big ported games, bioshock for example, iPhone and iPad would run half life or portal without any problem for sure, but those games need tegra GPU, so has nothing to do with memory. So what was your point again? :)

Transfer files over bluetooth, wifi without needing another app or adapter
Copy files to and from any PC without needing a crap software to sync every time
Allow true multitasking, not like from Nokia S60 era. Oh wait, S60 does that better than iOS.
In fact the hardware is so crap it can't do some tasks which even basic phones can do.

It's obvious you have no idea how OS and hardware works together. Sure, 1GB is probably not enough to run Windows 7 of a desktop PC but the iPhone isn't running Windows 7. It is running an OS specifically tailored (also known as optimized) to the hardware. So in this case, you don't need 2GB or 3GB or quad core CPUs. And don't start with multitasking. It's a phone, not a desktop. It multitasks fine exactly the things I need multitasks (like playing my own music while doing something else). I don't need anything running that I don't want in the background draining my battery.

Lol not buying a phone because it's only 1gb of ram. I work as a sales agent for a carrier not once have I had to mention to customers about specs because it's absolutely useless information
