Samsung pay works with emv cards also. Samsung pay will be authorized by the banks even for emv chip and pin cards

This is likely why Note5 isn't released in Europe (yet). Most cards here are chip-and-pin. Even if a terminal has MST hardware it would usually just say "this card has a chip". Most terminals doesn't support NFC (yet). Thus, no Samsung Pay, which would reduce Note5 to a faster and prettier Note 4 with less features :-P
