When you buy a flagship device you are actually paying for the cost of the production i.e. the hardware stalled on the device e.g. higher camera pixels, iris scanner, higher RAM, high screen resolution, faster processor, clearer loudspeaker, hands-free with dolby sound, etc. You can go a mid-range device, they are very good as well, and are amazingly affordable.

You fandroids are so still living in 2012. You no longer have slow cameras and no apps and what not. I have used an iPhone for a few months I did not once miss the apps available on iOS after moving back to WP. Who cares about 1 million apps, it is physically impossible to actually use all of them anyway, and if something is not on WP you will get a very good replacement. And after Win 10 comes the os will be just as mature as the rest. You still get the best offline navigation on WP, in fact even Here maps are now available on the other OS's because it is that popular, oh and Apple actually uses Bing for their Siri searches.
I have been on WP for 4 years and I still won't go to another platform, I am sure there are a lot of WP users who can back this up

Price? Price? Price? Is all that matters. Everyone is all excited and talking about specs. Is everyone here rich? None of this matters if the phone is 700-800 dollars. The only thing people should be talking about now is price. A couple people mentioned it, but nobody seems too concerned. They should release a ballpark price with the specs so they don't keep people in limbo. Some people need a phone soon and won't buy if they have to sit around and guess a price. They will probably release pricing at the event next month but let's go here. There has to be a leek somewhere.

I guess you use an IOS or an android phone, hear this! I use both OS too, but I trust Microsoft more for my business, it is more secured than the other two, you can research that.
I don't play games on my phone cos, I have game console for games, but I do have coffee break games like chess, solitaire etc and they run fine.
I need a PDA not a toy, with continuum on Windows mobile 10, I'm definitely getting the L950xl.
About apps? All that I need are in windows, but remember, I have the other OS as well. Ahead of apps, I really prefer a more secured OS for a mobile device to be used as my PDA.

I have tried a few of Lumia and Microsoft phones. The OS is stupid. No mach to ios or android.

Get a life!I am not the one hanging on to a platform that is irrelevant in the mobile world, get a grip, the WP app store is non existent, and please don't mention those second hand cloned apps, the OS might be snappy, but without a robust app store the platform is dead, 3% market share will tell you all you need to know, seriously, how many people do you see on the street with a WP, pretty much non existent. If you like WP that's fine, but sorry I am not a troll for telling the TRUTH. Would I buy a WP, sure, but without a real app store and main stream apps, I am not wasting my hard earned money on a platform that could care less about it's users. First they need Google services, get rid of Bing and Here maps, even Apple knows that they need Google services or their mobile OS would be dead in the water, so they pay their royalties and move on with their business, WP is so stuck in not using Google services that it has crippled their mobile OS.

since android launch the OS for the rest of mobile devices and so with google play store even an outdated android device can get an app to use on their device there is so much variants app that suits your device so an updated android device or even an oudated android device they can get an apps from the Google Playstore now with Microsoft Lumia devices even an updated and flagship Lumia device they can get an apps from their store but not an outdated Microsoft device and also appsis so much limited and kinda frustrating at times,wake-up redmond Giant!

I use Lumia cos, it is the most secure mobile device available at the moment, with no virus, phishing, hacks etc. The OS is fast and fluid to use.

Couldn't help but notice that the person clicking these picture didn't use the MS app "Office Lens" for taking these pictures. Maybe MS should have advertised that too in one of the slides.
