04 October, 2015
Google unveiled its 2015 vision for the perfect Android phone – the compact, affordable Nexus 5X and the big, premium Nexus 6P. Ignoring the silly price premium that Europeans will have to pay, both phones caused a lot of excitement.

Andro, 05 Oct 2015Wow good explaination thanks, but can you also explain what ... moreHave you ever seen videos from Phone cameras that are shaky? OIS tries to limit that or makes the shake smother. For still images especially in low light where if you shake your hand it will make the picture blurry, OIS eliminates that.

I think these phones have digit image stabilization though.

The Nexus 6P is a real nice phone, but that Snapdragon 810 should not have been used in this phone, will wait till next year when the Snapdragon 820 comes out.

6P is very nice, but 20% taller and wider than should be. So flop.
5X is ugly as hell. Looks like cheap 5-year old phone. And 10% taller and wider than should be. Flop as well.

6P is great, but for me it's too big.
5X is great too. But the lack of space isn't good as i personally need 64GB space at least.

Both of them are good devices, no reason to hate them i guess, but could have make more options available right from the start. :O

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2015Price?, Is way overpriced for the specs, every week there i... morePeople keep complaining about the price. Especially in other countries... For google, the price to have the product shipped to certain countries plus the conversion rate is not worth it. They are a business. They are here to make money. And the prices are not bad. Yes you can find phones with better specs around the same price but that isn't there goal. They weren't trying to make a powerhouse phone. They were just shooting for a great phone for a great price. And their MAIN target was to release a pure android phone with stock experience with new software updates first and a great, open phone for people to tinker with. If you look at all the phones on XDA the phone that has the most active group of people working on it is the Nexus 5. Everyone is getting their panties up in a bunch...If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Get a different phone. With Android there is options.

INFERIOR LOW LIGHT PERFORMANCE OUTSIDE OF LAB

1.55um pixels are great over previous 1.2um, in both dimensions it translates to 1.67X light absorption, right? Wrong. Any entry level modern OIS gives 2.5 stops, that is 2 to the power of 2.5 or 5.66X more exposure time possible when not using a tripod. So no OIS kills any pixel size advantage.

5.66/1.67 = 3.4X LESS light when handheld. Light absorption in cameras is simple math, both Nexus devices are years behind competition in hand held photography in low light.

I trust the Exynos 7420 but not the SD810 - yet. Waiting for reviews - in particular of the endurance and temperatures. AFAIK there hasnt been any reviews yet of anything featuring the SD810.
