Android Marshmallow might be coming to the LG G3 and G4 pretty soon

02 October, 2015
A few hints have appeared on the Korea OEM's website, indicating that the flagships might be updated to Android 6.0 sooner rather than later.

About G2 they r surely convinced that this was good product and it will lead to stop customers buy new phones of LG. In fact it is real cause of not updating Marsh Mellow 6.0. which is bad behavior.

LG is very backward when it comes to upgrade point of view.Very disappointed after hearing android M update not being initiated to G2
Giving out such a good phone with a very bad upgrade through. No one would buy LG if it carries the same in future. It should give atleast 5.1.1..to keep lg customers attached.
    Hope it gives

I used Sony Xperia from S to Z3 compact until last month when I dropped the Z3 compact and broke it. bought LG G4 for temporary replacement given it's cheap for it's specs. Well i have to say, the hardware is all there except the battery life is bit miserable when you actually use it. But the software and the customised UI are the terrible. coming from a sony UI, I have to say this is hideous and superfluous. and there is no consistence through out the whole system. I mean, if you are not good at design, why not just stick to the stock Android? I can't wait to get rid of it now.

It's gotten so bad lately I've been looking at alternative phones! I may downgrade back to Kitkat for a bit if that's still working without issues.

                        You ignorant man.

Google does not release updates for other than Nexus or GPE phones. Manufacturer does. So it is up to Samsung to release update, and they never was knoen as fast releasers.

                        So wait your turn.

AnonD-447407, 03 Oct 2015Not sure if it's just me but Lollipop crippled my G3 (d855)... moreYou are not alone my D855 on Android 5.0 practically remains on the charging all the time due to battery issues. I have done some research on this issue and my conclusion is there is no fix for it because it has something to do with Android version that we have on our phones. People with previous versions of Android are pretty cool with their phones. Even LG unofficially acknowledges this battery problem with G3 and they had promised a fix. That's why the skipped 5.1 for 6.0 for G3. I am hoping desperately that Marshmallow is answer to my problems.

LG should really concentrate very hard on improving their software interface ux 4.0 is very average won't stand up to Sony or Samsung. LG is in real danger of going down the HTC way hopefully Android 6.0 will offer something better

I have never hated any of my phones until this G4 on Lollipop 5.1. It is absolute unreliable garbage. I want to throw this phone against the wall daily. The UI has several missing features that were fine on my G3. Wifi and Bluetooth are crap and the lollipop memory leak often renders the phone useless where everything is frozen or super leggy. I went from loving LG because of the g3 keeping removable battery and SD card to HATING Google Android fragmentation and bugs on this phone that I am seriously considering IP6s+ which is the first IOS phone I will have had since IP4. Google wants to do so much but their stuff gets increasing unreliable and fragmentation is out of freaking control. Their google play services strategy to bypass carriers to fix bugs is not working.
