Weird this is happening the first time Huawei colaborates with Google, since the Ascend flagship line, the Mates and the Honors are deprived of these kinds of issues.

You're blaming Huawei for poor quality materials but with the Nexus it's the first time they endured this kind of backlash.

They make excellent phones and that's not even a question.

Some people are just careless... Just get yourself a case (i got a Ringke for mine and i took the phone out of it only a couple times -> phone looks and feels brand new).

Also: that guy made a second video taking a brand new 6P out of the box, starting it, and then bending it again. It's embarrasing how easily it bends, makes you wonder what kind of tests do OEMs subject their phones to before putting them out on the market.

Wouldn't blame Huawei. I would blame Google for selecting Huawei as their hardware provider. Biggest wrong decision by Google in a long time.

The devices are purposefully being made in a lower quality to test how far they can go. Battery life has been on a decline since late last year

Which gives you premium feel.. I've used xperia z,z1, and currently using z3 and i've dropped my phone several times.. Even on concreate but it didn't do any damage to the glass on back... Just have to replace the glass protector film every couple of months Which costs just equivalent 0.5$ here in india.

And coming to your second comment the nexus 6p video posted by jerry rig was criticised very much so he produced another video with a brand new nexus 6p and it again failed the same way.

It occured to me when the phone was first announced that the band of glass on the back of the Nexus 6P is an accident waiting to happen. Why don't phone manufacturers learn? There is not reason to have more (highly fragile) glass on a phone than necessary. The screen is a necessary risk, but glass on the back of a phone is just dumb.

It was a bad idea with the iPhone 4 and Apple abandoned it for the iPhone 5. It was a bad idea on the Nexus 4 (Google couldn't learn from Apple's mistakes) and then was abandoned on the Nexus 5. I don't know how those glass backed Galaxys S6 and Note 5 phones are holding up, since I don't pay attention to Samsung phones, but I can only imagine the gratuitous shattering.

Now Google has the dubious distinction of being the only company not to lear the glass back lesson twice. He it was such a bad idea on the Nexus 4, let's bring it back!

                          *

That being said, GSMArena's sensationalistic reporting on this is terrible. The notorious bend video of the 6P has been thoroughld debunked. Heating the phone with the lighter first, undermined the sturcturally integrity of the phone back lossening the adhesive that holds it together and that's why the already half destroyed phone bent so easily. GSMArena should be embarrassed to be bringing up a bogus video to prove its point.

Anyway, perhaps Huawei are just not good at manufacturing durable phones, OR Google's specs were terrible. What one puts in is what one gets out....
