Zune was neat haha I got lucky and found a Zune player in 2009 and it was cool. The iPod is neat too. Too bad Zune is gone. It had good quality music. But I thought that Zune had been gone since like 2012????

Zun.A, 17 Nov 2015Don't know what a zune is. Music player maybe?2nd reply cause I forgot to add this:

Zune was also the music streaming/purchasing service Microsoft operated (much like iTunes), this is the one getting closed now after the hardware itself has been cut since 2011.

It was Microsoft's attempt to compete with the iPod, but despite the really good hardware and service it didn't catch. The player itself has gone trough 3~4 generations, flash based and HDD based ones, using Windows Media files (supporting MP3 as well and don't remember what else), had a way bigger screen for videos on 1st generation, reacted faster than the iPod and all but simply didn't catch.
Had its quirks like these DRM annoyances and all but I would bet it was just either late to the game or bad marketing.
